Cries At The Cross
Why the cross? When we ask why we must first define what. We have been so desensitized as to what the cross is. It has been polished, and varnished so that it can be worn around the necks, wrists, and ankles; it has been tattooed on the arm, back or other places, used as a good luck charm, or as a symbol of greatness. It has lost its distinctive purpose in that it has become a symbol of religion. A social worker was seen wearing a cross necklace attached to the cross was the Star of David and the Symbol of Hinduism, representing the pluralistic idea that all roads lead to God. The world has tried to strip the cross of all its rugged, cursed, realistic distinctions. The Bible and early church understood the reproach of the cross. The some found it a stumbling block and foolishness. , but Paul tells us the preaching of the cross is the power of God.
