What Is Life? James 4:14
INTRO- The Memory of Kelly – Her mother taking her on Sunday drives (18 or 19 yrs). Family told me that she “read her Bible all the time” I went to visit her in the hospital some time ago and Barbara told me she was praying.
I. Life is Beautiful – Mist is beautiful to watch in the morning (Rising off Cuivre River)
1. Miracle of Birth
2. Growth & Development & Maturity
3. Barbara’s Life was beautiful – Look at her traits -
Loving, caring, generous, hard working, Wonderful Grandma, Mom to her children (A blessing right there) Didn’t complain about her own needs, Just enjoyed the simple things in life.
II. Life Is Unknown
1. We never know what will happen tomorrow
2. We need to trust in the one who holds tomorrow
A. The BIG PICTURE
III. Life Is Short
1. Doesn’t matter how long it is still short
2. Need to prepare for eternity.
· Rom 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
· Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
· Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
· 1Jn 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
· Rom 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
Obituary
Barbara Jean (Presley) Coon
Barbara Jean (Presley) Coon, retired AGCO assembler, died Sunday, January 31, 2010 at Via Christi-St. Francis in Wichita, Kansas at the age of 59.
Barbara was born the daughter of Lela Marie (Hamilton) and Jack Andrew Presley on Saturday, December 16, 1950 in Diamond, Missouri. Her parents precede her in death.
Survivors include her children: Leigh Ann Barnhart and her husband Chris of Indiana, Kevin Coon and his wife Amy of Bel Aire, Kansas, Kellie Coon and her husband Mark of Hillsboro, Kansas, Kyle Coon and Rachel Mendenhall of Wichita, Kansas, 8 grandchildren: Aleigha, Alissa, Nathan, Kristin, Samantha, Zachary, Keegan, Ava, siblings: Jack Presley and his wife Dora, Janice Slater, Shirley Dennis and her husband Mike, Jim Presley and his wife Maddie, Steve Presley and his wife Sunny.
Not only have we lost a sister, a Wonderful Grandma, A great Mother, but a Good Friend. She will be missed by all who knew, and loved her.
