Proverbs 13:7
- Proverbs 22:7, “The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.”
- Servant: `ebed; a servant, a slave, in bondage.
- Proverbs 13:7, “One man pretends to be rich, yet has nothing…”
1.) Commit to a life of self-control.
- Proverbs 25:28, “Like a city whose walls are broken down is a man who lacks self-control.”
2.) Be willing to sacrifice for something greater.
- Hebrews 12:2, “Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross…”
3.) Diligently engage in a long-range plan.
- Luke 14:28, “Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won't you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it?”
- Proverbs 21:5, “The plans of the diligent lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty.”
Baby Steps to a Better Planned Budget:
- Save $1,000 for emergencies.
- Do the debt snowball.
