Value of Life

Image Bearing - Genesis 1:26-27

Human life has value because it bears God’s image.

When the value of life is detached from God, it leads to disaster.

Even verbally degrading the value of another is murderous (Matthew 5:21-22).

There is no difference that makes one life more valuable than the other.

God’s Great Work - Psalm 139:13-16

Life begins at conception and is God’s great work.

We must not give in to the thinking that makes the issue about rights.

There are some things too sacred to make a choice about.

There is no personal right so great as to allow you to destroy an innocent life to pursue it.

Gift - Psalm 127:3-5

God is the ultimate gift-giver (James 1:17).

When God says this is a gift, who are we to say otherwise?

God’s greatest gift is the gift of salvation.

We should celebrate the value of life in the image of God, His great work, and His great gift.
