Big Idea of the Message: God is unchanging in his knowledge of all things past, present, and future.

One and Only

This maybe one of the hardest things for the unsaved to wrap their heads around about God - “I am the the way the truth and the life…There is no other above Me”;
I think it’s because with everything else in our world there are multiple “ways” to do things or get to places;
So now there is God saying, from the beginning, I am the One true God;
“But what about all the others that claim the same thing?”;
Have you ever wondered some of the same things?

Remember

Here Isaiah, a prophet, is sharing with Israel how they can know that God is the One and Only;
First Isaiah asks them to remember “former things of old”;
Israel grew into a great nation while in slavery in Egypt and because of their size “numbers” the Pharoah was concerned and became more harsh in treatment;
But God not only brought them out of captivity but He protected them in their unbelief;
There are many other examples of how God proved Himself by fulfilling promises.

Declaration

Isaiah also reminds them how God declared what would be and the fulfillment of the declaration;
There 31,102 verses in the Bible - 8,352 verses are prophecy which is approximately 27% of the verses;
Prophecy fulfillment slide.
God shared from the beginning what the ending would be;
God is not surprised by anything that is going on nor is He confused;
The question is do you trust the One that knows all to walk you through your confusion and stress;
If you don’t remember anything I have said remember this;
Application Point: We will find comfort in trusting an all-knowing God who is not surprised by our circumstances.
Who is your comfort today?
