“THE PRIZE OF PATIENCE”

PSALM 37:7 – “Submit peacefully to God and wait patiently for Him”

Patience Takes Away:

ROMANS 8:25 – “With patience wait”

1). Worry – When you patiently wait on God, it takes away worry.

2). Weeping – When you wait with patience you begin to realize He knows

your need better than you do. You begin to stop feeling sad

and depressed and you start realizing that His purpose in

waiting is to bring more glory out of it.

3). Self-Works – John 6:29 – When you wait with patience, you stop

working in your own strength, and you begin to walk by

faith. The work He desires is that you walk by faith.

4). Want – When you wait with patience, you begin to realize your desire for

the thing you want was greater than your desire to do His will; so

you begin to gradually say, “Lord, not my will, but thine be

                  done.”

5). Weakening – The Lord is strengthening you; preparing you; getting you

ready for the reward; for the answer. Many times He gives us

more than what we ask for, so He’s got to get you ready for it.

6). Wobbling – Daniel 8:18 – The more you wait on Him with patience, the

more rooted and grounded you become. He stabilizes you.

7). Gives Worship – Colossians 1:11; James 1:4 – When you wait on the

Lord with patience, your worry turns to worship. You begin to see

things more clearly. You begin to take your eyes off the blessing

and put your eyes on the Blesser!!
