I. Paul Urges the Church to Present Their Whole Selves to God.

Many People Play ‘Hokey Pokey’ with God.

Why Do We Present Ourselves to God? His Mercies.

Paul Unpacks ‘His Mercies’ in the First 11 Chapters of Romans.

In Jesus’ Incarnation, Life, Death, Resurrection, Reign, We See What God is Like.

God is Faithful. He Can Handle Our Whole Selves.

God is Merciful. Consider His Great Kindness Towards Us in Jesus.

God is Worthy. Is Anyone or Anything Else More Worthy Than Him?

What Do We Present to God? A Living Sacrifice that is Holy.

A Living Sacrifice (Not a Dead Sacrifice, Our Whole Lives).

A Holy Sacrifice (A Sacrifice Set Apart for Him).

A Wholly Sacrifice (Our Whole Selves).

How Do We Present Ourselves to God? We Don’t Conform to the Values of This Age.

II. Paul Urges the Church Not to Conform to the Present Age.

Water Will Conform to Its Container. Think About the Behaviors Present in Our Current Age.

ARROGANCE | DIVISION | SELFISHNESS | SLANDER | WRATH

Why Not Conform to the Present Age?

This Age is Temporary.

We Are Not Made For This Temporary Age Alone.

Should We Be Passive? No. But Our Hope is Not in This Age.

What Do We Do Instead? Resist Values & Behaviors, Not People.

Our Battle is Not Against Flesh & Blood.

We Resist the Values of This Age, Not the People of This Age.

Resisting Values Without Resisting People Takes Courage & Compassion.

How Do We Resist Conformity? We Must Be Transformed.

III. Paul Urges the Church to Be Transformed.

The Boys Present Their Transformer to Their Dad.

Why Must We Be Transformed?

Because God is Holy.

Because Salvation is Necessary.

Because Consistency (Life & Doctrine) is Mission-Critical.

What Do the Transformed Look Like?

Renewed Minds.

Minds Set on the Age to Come.

Transformed Lives Transform Everything.

How Are We Transformed? We Go to Our Dad.

Vision: We Must Offer Our Whole Selves to God Before We Offer Our Whole Selves to the Vision.
