“The Principles of Praise”

1)    God is Restoring Praise to the Body of Christ All Over the World

It is happening! It is a work of God! No one can stop it! We

may not all agree on all points of doctrine, but all who know the

Lord are happy to agree on the glorious fact that our Lord is

           worthy to be praised.

2)    Praise Is the Most Worthwhile Endeavor in Earth and Heaven

An exercise which ceaselessly occupies the angels in heaven

and in which heavenly citizens will engage in eternity surely could

not be a waste of time to mortals on earth.

3)    No Exercise Will Result in More Healing Physically, Mentally, Emotionally, and Spiritually Than That of Studying and Practicing Praise

4)    The Practice of Praise in the Public Sense Is Absolutely Indispensable to the Maximum Worship Experience

We may preach and plead with people to repent, be cleansed, be

committed, and follow the Lord, but few will make lasting

commitments without a prevailing atmosphere of praise. We may

plead with men and women to receive Christ and crown Him as

Lord, but their maturity is an unlikely goal unless we surround

them in the early stages of their Christian experience with praises

     to God.

5) Until the Practice of Praise in Private Is Continuous and Free, the Practice of Praise Publicly Will Be Inhibited by Fear, Self-consciousness, and Discomfort

Public praise is threatening and fearful to those who are not “into” praise in their private lives.

6) When We Praise, We Are Engaging in an Eternal Exercise

Paul declares in Romans 1:25 that God is “forever praised.” We shall discover that praise is eternal. It never began. It has always been. It will never cease. The Psalmist recognized this fact as indicated in Psalm 72:19, “Praise be to His glorious name forever.” He further declared, “Then will I ever sing praises to your name” (Psalm 61:8). Still further he claims in Psalm 111:10b, “To him belongs eternal praise.”

Observe the Scriptures below. Repeat them several times. Set these as your “morning exercises.”

1.     Psalm 34:1-3

2.     Psalm 61:8

3.     Psalm 71:8

4.     Psalm 119:164

5.     Psalm 147:1

6.     Psalm 150:6
