HOOK

DO NOT FORGET TO UNMUTE
It’s the 12th day of January— TUESDAY
Yesterday we were able to finish chapter 19— Dr. Luke ended that chapter with the accounts of what happened in Ephesus— who rioted in the city and what was the reason behind the uprising— from this incident we learned:
GODS MADE BY HUMAN HANDS ARE NO GODS AT ALL
I WILL NOT BUY ANY OF THOSE IMAGES AND STATUES
As we continue with our verse by verse study of the book of Acts today, we will begin with chapter 20— the first section in this chapter is when Paul left Ephesus after the riot— and he set out to Macedonia— open your Bible to Acts 20:1-6
When studying the Bible, look for words that defines the CHARACTER of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit— keep an eye on COMMANDS to obey— good EXAMPLES to follow, and bad examples to avoid— PROMISES that you could claim— sins to CONFESS— CHALLENGES you encountered— and ENCOURAGEMENT to keep you going
READ ACTS 20:1-6

BOOK

Acts 20:1–6 NIV
1 When the uproar had ended, Paul sent for the disciples and, after encouraging them, said goodbye and set out for Macedonia. 2 He traveled through that area, speaking many words of encouragement to the people, and finally arrived in Greece, 3 where he stayed three months. Because some Jews had plotted against him just as he was about to sail for Syria, he decided to go back through Macedonia. 4 He was accompanied by Sopater son of Pyrrhus from Berea, Aristarchus and Secundus from Thessalonica, Gaius from Derbe, Timothy also, and Tychicus and Trophimus from the province of Asia. 5 These men went on ahead and waited for us at Troas. 6 But we sailed from Philippi after the Festival of Unleavened Bread, and five days later joined the others at Troas, where we stayed seven days.

Let’s take a moment to go back in the Old Testament to understand what is the “Festival of the Unleavened Bread”— Exodus 12:14-15 — why is this celebrated?— Exodus 12:17
This is also to celebrate their harvest— they commemorate this in the month of April— Month of Nisan in the Hebrew or Jewish Calendar
