GOOD FOR NOTHING
Matthew 5:13
13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. (KJV)
If ever there was a time that the church needs a display of it’s power here on earth, the time is now. For with young men killing one another, with the morals of society at an all time low. With sickness abounding on every hand. The church must become busy witnessing telling the story of Jesus.
But unfortunately the church folks have gotten so off track that we are having to spend so much time trying to keep the church together, that the world is being left untouched. There are those in our communities, that need to hear from us. There are those in our communities, who need a word from the Lord. But because of the people in the church, becoming in inadequate in their responsibility we are unable to reach out like we should to the lost.
Of course maybe all the lost in not outside of the church.
To many in the church have become like salt that is worthless. We are good for nothing. Every Christian should have a purpose. Every child of God has a reason for existing. But what are some of us good for? Some of us are good for nothing.
We are just here, and that’s it. We come in and go out.
WE ARE NOT GOOD FOR WITNESSING.
WE ARE NOT GOOD FOR SOULWINNING.
