Mission Unstoppable
Mission Unstoppable
When Jesus started the Church, He started an unstoppable mission to seek and save those who are lost.
The church is made up of ordinary people who love God and are committed to follow Jesus Christ, and to continue in the work of ministry.
We have the amazing privilege to participate in this unstoppable mission.
No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.
What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?
Now I say to you that you are Peter (which means ‘rock’), and upon this rock I will build my church, and all the powers of hell will not conquer it.
Now all glory to God, who is able to keep you from falling away and will bring you with great joy into his glorious presence without a single fault.
We are unstoppable because we serve Jesus Christ, Emanuel (God with us), He is the King of all kings, and the Lord of all lords. He is God come in the flesh, He is sovereign, in control. He is the creator of this earth and everything in it.
The devil and all the evil forces he can scheme up, cannot conquer the church.

We have spiritual weapons and tools
We have the Bible, which is the word of God.
We have the Armor of God
What is the Bible? it is His-Story book
if you look at the bible in its broadest sense, its simply a history book, a record of the times God has interjected Himself into human history. People are always saying, “oh, if God would only show himself, then wed have no problem believing in Him” well that is what the bible is, God showing Himself to man, telling us what Hes like, what in store for us, what pleases Him, what displeases Him, where we came from, where were going, etc. God has said and done some very incredible thing through the years, and the bible is where people have written those things down so well never forget them.
The instructions of the Lord are perfect, reviving the soul. The decrees of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple. The commandments of the Lord are right, bringing joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are clear, giving insight for living. Reverence for the Lord is pure, lasting forever. The laws of the Lord are true; each one is fair. They are more desirable than gold, even the finest gold. They are sweeter than honey, even honey dripping from the comb.
Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.
So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.
But Jesus told him, “No! The Scriptures say, ‘People do not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”
Long ago God spoke many times and in many ways to our ancestors through the prophets. And now in these final days, he has spoken to us through his Son. God promised everything to the Son as an inheritance, and through the Son he created the universe.
For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.
So get rid of all the filth and evil in your lives, and humbly accept the word God has planted in your hearts, for it has the power to save your souls.
All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.
The Armor of God; Belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, shoes of the gospel. shield of faith. helmet of salvation, sword of the spirit which is the word of God.
A few questions;
Are you part of this unstoppable mission? I know you come to church every week, but are you a “Born again believer”?
Have you heard the Good news and understood the problem of sin, and despite your sin, God still loves you, leading you to a meaningful decision to Follow Christ?
Do you understand how much God loves you?

Grace, Man, God, Jesus Christ, Faith
Jesus, the Son of God, chooses ordinary people to follow Him.
Today as we open our bible, we are going to learn what it is to be a disciple, and what Jesus means when He says, “Follow Me”
Today as we open our bible, we are going to learn what it is to be a disciple, and what Jesus means when He says, “Follow Me”
The following day John was again standing with two of his disciples. As Jesus walked by, John looked at him and declared, “Look! There is the Lamb of God!” When John’s two disciples heard this, they followed Jesus. Jesus looked around and saw them following. “What do you want?” he asked them. They replied, “Rabbi” (which means “Teacher”), “where are you staying?” “Come and see,” he said. It was about four o’clock in the afternoon when they went with him to the place where he was staying, and they remained with him the rest of the day. Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, was one of these men who heard what John said and then followed Jesus. Andrew went to find his brother, Simon, and told him, “We have found the Messiah” (which means “Christ”). Then Andrew brought Simon to meet Jesus. Looking intently at Simon, Jesus said, “Your name is Simon, son of John—but you will be called Cephas” (which means “Peter”).
A Disciple - means to be a learner, student, pupil, Follower.
A Disciple - means to be a learner, student, pupil, Follower.
A person in process who is eager to learn and apply the truth Jesus Christ teaches.
A biblical disciple owns a certain attitude that manifests itself in certain actions. it is a special kind of learner, one who learns ‘by use and practice… a person who not only thinks, but who also does.
What effect should this learning have? the acquisition of a new habit or custom - a changed life!
This kind of learning is taken in, practiced, and incorporated into a transformed lifestyle.
God through Moses-
And it shall be with him, and he shall read in it all the days of his life, that he may learn to fear the Lord his God by keeping all the words of this law and these statutes, and doing them,
Ezra
For Ezra had set his heart to study the Law of the Lord, and to do it and to teach his statutes and rules in Israel.
David
I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.
John
If someone claims, “I know God,” but doesn’t obey God’s commandments, that person is a liar and is not living in the truth.
James
But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves.
Jesus
I will show you what it’s like when someone comes to me, listens to my teaching, and then follows it. It is like a person building a house who digs deep and lays the foundation on solid rock. When the floodwaters rise and break against that house, it stands firm because it is well built. But anyone who hears and doesn’t obey is like a person who builds a house right on the ground, without a foundation. When the floods sweep down against that house, it will collapse into a heap of ruins.”
Jesus replied, “But even more blessed are all who hear the word of God and put it into practice.”
“If you want to be my disciple, you must, by comparison, hate everyone else—your father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters—yes, even your own life. Otherwise, you cannot be my disciple. And if you do not carry your own cross and follow me, you cannot be my disciple. “But don’t begin until you count the cost. For who would begin construction of a building without first calculating the cost to see if there is enough money to finish it?
Then, calling the crowd to join his disciples, he said, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me. If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake and for the sake of the Good News, you will save it. And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul?
If you refuse to take up your cross and follow me, you are not worthy of being mine.

The 12 disciples
One day soon afterward Jesus went up on a mountain to pray, and he prayed to God all night. At daybreak he called together all of his disciples and chose twelve of them to be apostles. Here are their names: Simon (whom he named Peter), Andrew (Peter’s brother), James, John, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James (son of Alphaeus), Simon (who was called the zealot), Judas (son of James), Judas Iscariot (who later betrayed him).
Jesus, The Son of God chose ordinary people to do extra-ordinary things.
these are some pretty ordinary guys
4 of them are fisherman, some are brothers, we’ve got a tax collector, a guy with a temper that want to fight with Romans, and another who like to count money. Not a superstar group of guys.
You will see greater things - Jacob was starting a new life when he had this dream. We also will see greater things, when we start a new life in Christ, when find the messiah.
are you ready to see greater things?
