(COLOSSIANS 3:16-17)
BIG IDEA
The Key to Living the Christian Life is Learning to Behave in Accordance with the Character of Christ, Based Solely on Your Union with and Your New Reality in Christ.
KEY QUESTION
What does it mean to our everyday existence that our lives have now been raised with Christ, that we have died with Christ, our lives are now hidden with Christ and that Christ is our life?
I. We Must Put On the New Life in Christ 12-17 Am 5:18-19, Mt 24:4-8, 13, Co 1:23, 2 Chr 12:14
A. By Continually Letting Christ's Truth Live Abundantly in Us 16; Ep 5:18-20
1. His Truth is Crucial For Discipling 16a; Co 1:28
Teaching-imparting someone with positive truth and positive training.
Admonishing-to rebuke and correct. The negative side of teaching. To warn. To straighten out confused thinking.
Wisdom-having the insight, the foresight, and the character to do things God's way
2. His Truth is Crucial For Worshiping 16b
Worship-focusing, acknowledging, experiencing, showing, and responding to the greatness, beauty and worthiness of God.
3. By Continually Honoring Christ & Thanking the Father in Everything 17;
