It will come to end

Read psalm 37:12-20, “
The wicked plots against the righteous
and gnashes his teeth at him,
13  but the Lord laughs at the wicked,
for he sees that his day is coming.
14  The wicked draw the sword and bend their bows
to bring down the poor and needy,
to slay those whose way is upright;
15  their sword shall enter their own heart,
and their bows shall be broken.
16  Better is the little that the righteous has
than the abundance of many wicked.
17  For the arms of the wicked shall be broken,
but the LORD upholds the righteous.
18  The LORD knows the days of the blameless,
and their heritage will remain forever;
19  they are not put to shame in evil times;
in the days of famine they have abundance.
20  But the wicked will perish;
the enemies of the LORD are like the glory of the pastures;
they vanish—like smoke they vanish away.
If the wicked will perish, then the question is: why does God not only deal with them right away, but why does he also let them “flourish and have glory” for at time?” Why does he let them be successful in the things that they generally set out to do?
It would be easier, if we just saw God, deal with the wicked immediately, and enabled us to be free from being affected by them. But I think this has to do with
that we are made in the image of God. And God gives us the ability to do, and to become, and to be fruitful (as you can see this was his command to Adam) We have the ability to do right and wrong.
We also, the righteous, are not innocent. We are also, if belonging to God, we have been given righteousness as a gift and we are not perfect.
Genesis: 15:16, “In the fourth generation your descendants will come back here, for the sin of the Amorites has not yet reached its full measure."
People are given a equal opportunity at life. And an equal opportunity to “do the right things”. We need to remember that when we judge the world, that the world is also sinners who “can do right”. So many times, God waits, to let take place what he is able to judge by, whether it be that they do the right things (and beleive and walk by faith) or do the wrong thing, and be part of the building of the evil in the world.
It is true that the wicked, will perish, like the glory of the pastures, but you need to make sure that you are not in that group. As well, the glory of a pasture, in God’s eyes, may be years. But it may be a moment as well.
But now, look now at verse 18-19, and the statement that says, the inheritance of the righteous will remain for ever.
the glory, of the people who are not faithful, is only short, and will not last very long (and it is a testing time, in this world, of how they used their capacities and their faculties of “ability”) but the glory of the righteous will be everlasting.
This world, is a testing ground, and the result will be, in the eternal view, a very blessed and good future forever for the people of faith, and those who don’t seem and who then show as being living for the glory of wicked living, will not have the ability to gain eternal glory.
But God waits, because sometimes, evil can be overthrown, and God can send revival to his cause, if people repent.
God bless. Next week we continue in Psalm 37.
