@LEVEL THREE = Not a feeling ‑‑ a fact

@LEVEL THREE = Real Living involves walking your talk.  Lives must back up what our lips say.

@LEVEL THREE = The enemy to real living is sin.

@LEVEL TWO = Note contrast ‑‑ light, dark    saying, doing

@LEVEL THREE = We must deal with sin of we are to enjoy a life that is real.

@LEVEL TWO = Three responses to Sin

@LEVEL ONE = 1A.  WE CAN TRY TO COVER OUR SINS

@LEVEL TWO = 1B.  The Cause For The Cover‑up (vs. 5)

@LEVEL THREE = God is light ‑‑ Purity (vs. 5)

@SCRIPTURE = II CORINTHIANS 6:14<R> "Do not be yoked together with unbelievers.  For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common?  Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?"

@LEVEL THREE = ILLUSTRATION:  A backslidden husband can never enjoy full fellowship with his Christian wife ‑‑ companionship, no spiritual fellowship.

@LEVEL FOUR = He is no longer a liar because he tells lies, he now lies because he is a confirmed liar.

@LEVEL FOUR = "atoning sacrifice" ‑ propitiation: the satisfying of God's holy law, to cover, to wash away.

@LEVEL THREE = Stop trying to deceive others, ourselves, and God

@LEVEL THREE = ILLUSTRATION:  The word "sincere" comes from two latin words, "sine" & "cera" = without wax.  Sculptors cover mistakes with wax‑‑did not show until they were exposed to the sun.  The more dependable sculptors made certain that their customers knew that their statues were "sine cera" ‑‑ without wax.

@LEVEL FOUR = Like an employee, child

@LEVEL FOUR = To receive a reward

@LEVEL THREE = 3C.  Because we want to

@LEVEL FOUR = Like a Christian, adult

@LEVEL FOUR = Because we love the Lord

@LEVEL TWO = 3B.  Be Abiding In Him (vs. 6)

@LEVEL THREE = "live in Him"

@SCRIPTURE = John 15:5 <R>"I am the vine; you are the branches.  If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing."

@LEVEL THREE = 1C.  Connected to the vine

@LEVEL THREE = 2C.  Committed to the vine

@LEVEL THREE = 3C.  Compliment the vine

@LEVEL ONE = CONCLUSION:

@LEVEL TWO = Real living requires that we deal with sin by confessing it and seeking it.

@LEVEL TWO = Anything less is artificial, unreal.

@LEVEL TWO = Jesus offers all real life.  We must:

@LEVEL THREE = 1) confess our sins

@LEVEL THREE = 2) call on the Savior

@LEVEL THREE = 3) claim His promise
