What’s Next - Week 3 (Give) / Success

Matthew 6:1–4 ESV
“Beware of practicing your righteousness before other people in order to be seen by them, for then you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven. “Thus, when you give to the needy, sound no trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be praised by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the firstfruits of all your produce;
Honor

To Honor means to hold in high esteem, to recognize someone as being great and worthy. In relation to the Lord it means to give respect or to speak highly of. In some languages this is expressed as “Show that the Lord is great,” “Show that the Lord is wonderful,” or “Show how much you respect the Lord.”

With your wealth
First fruits were offered by the worshipers of Israel at their yearly harvest festival, sometimes called the Festival of Weeks
Honoring God with our Best.... Is trusting God with our Best
Our church Budget is around $15,000 a month...
My question is, could we meet our church budget is everyone gave at your level of trust in God?
I say yes but........
Mark 12:41–44 ESV
And he sat down opposite the treasury and watched the people putting money into the offering box. Many rich people put in large sums. And a poor widow came and put in two small copper coins, which make a penny. And he called his disciples to him and said to them, “Truly, I say to you, this poor widow has put in more than all those who are contributing to the offering box. For they all contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty has put in everything she had, all she had to live on.”
It all depends if you are willing to give your best because you trust him… ‘
Not only do with give to the kingdom of God or the local church but we honor God by giving to others!
Proverbs 3:10 ESV
then your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will be bursting with wine.
Then your barns will be filled with plenty…
Barns renders a word referring to places where grain crops are stored
“Barns” - My Accounts will be filled.......
“Vats will be bursting with wine”- The picture presented is of wine vats or presses running over because they cannot contain the abundance of wine.
I don’t focus on the overflow but I Focus on honoring Him with my Best.....
