I believe because it is evident that He is all around us, You may say to me can you prove that there is a God depends on your understanding of the word prove.
Webster dictionary defines the word to prove as
to establish the existence, truth, or validity of (as by evidence or logic)
If I were to prove by the evidence of a test tube I would say no I cannot prove there is a God for God cannot be placed in a test tube for He is all things He has made all things that there is noting that is that has not been created by Him and you simply cannot put the creator in a test tube
However If I were to prove to you through that of Logic I can say with very overwhelmingly is there evidence all around us that God does indeed exist
first lets look at the scripture to see what they have to say on the matter before us this morning
Romans 1:14–23 NKJV
I am a debtor both to Greeks and to barbarians, both to wise and to unwise. So, as much as is in me, I am ready to preach the gospel to you who are in Rome also. For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.” For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.
The creation its self bears witness to that of God
The atheist the scientist would argue that im wrong here but listen to me for a minute think about the mona lisa painting for a moment, Looking at the mona lisa painting logic would say one would have to say that there was a intelligent designer a artist that took time and with many brush strokes put together one of the most well know paintings in human history or by chance the exact canvas with the exact paint with the exact brushes fell onto one another in the perfect sequence that just so happened to create that master piece if I used that logic on how the mona lisa was created you would call me a liar or a mad man, However this is what man has tried to do with the creation they have argued that this intelligent design that just so perfectly came together by chance of a big bang that happened at just the right speed they have even said if it happened a few milliseconds slower or faster life on earth would be impossible, so it just so happened to happen at the right speed timing properties minerals distance from the sun water atmosphere to cause a chain reaction of multiple organisms coming to gether evolving at the same rate both male and female continuing to reproduce until you find humanity.
Now using the same logic as the painting of mona lisa I would come to the same place if it just so happened without a designer to fall in order , you are either a liar or a mad man.
When we look at the creation it is truly astounding you will never know the feeling of standing in front of the saw tooth mountains and saying within your heart there must be a God
So there must be a intelligent designer who so perfectly ordered not just the creation of earth but also all of the universe just as there must be a artist that so perfectly picked out the canvas placed it on a easel piked out the paints the brushes thought and began to paint the master piece we know today
The Bible says
John 1:1–10 NKJV
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him.
Genesis 1:1–15 NKJV
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day. Then God said, “Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.” Thus God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament; and it was so. And God called the firmament Heaven. So the evening and the morning were the second day. Then God said, “Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear”; and it was so. And God called the dry land Earth, and the gathering together of the waters He called Seas. And God saw that it was good. Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth”; and it was so. And the earth brought forth grass, the herb that yields seed according to its kind, and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. So the evening and the morning were the third day. Then God said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years; and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth”; and it was so.
Genesis 1:16–25 NKJV
Then God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also. God set them in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth, and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good. So the evening and the morning were the fourth day. Then God said, “Let the waters abound with an abundance of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the face of the firmament of the heavens.” So God created great sea creatures and every living thing that moves, with which the waters abounded, according to their kind, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. And God blessed them, saying, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.” So the evening and the morning were the fifth day. Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth the living creature according to its kind: cattle and creeping thing and beast of the earth, each according to its kind”; and it was so. And God made the beast of the earth according to its kind, cattle according to its kind, and everything that creeps on the earth according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.
Genesis 1:22–29 NKJV
And God blessed them, saying, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.” So the evening and the morning were the fifth day. Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth the living creature according to its kind: cattle and creeping thing and beast of the earth, each according to its kind”; and it was so. And God made the beast of the earth according to its kind, cattle according to its kind, and everything that creeps on the earth according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” And God said, “See, I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food.
2.Our own conscience tells us there is a God
Romans 2:10–18 NKJV
but glory, honor, and peace to everyone who works what is good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For there is no partiality with God. For as many as have sinned without law will also perish without law, and as many as have sinned in the law will be judged by the law (for not the hearers of the law are just in the sight of God, but the doers of the law will be justified; for when Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do the things in the law, these, although not having the law, are a law to themselves, who show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and between themselves their thoughts accusing or else excusing them) in the day when God will judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ, according to my gospel. Indeed you are called a Jew, and rest on the law, and make your boast in God, and know His will, and approve the things that are excellent, being instructed out of the law,
I tell you now there are no atheist in this world there are many who claim to be but when pressed they either do not want God because they do not want to be held to account and if there is a God there is something greater than them, Or they are truly mad at God because He did or allowed something in their life that they didn't agree with so they cry out My god wouldn't do this so there must not be a God
But watch them when terminal cancer comes into their life they will cry our my God help Me , In their own pride they seek God not
3. By my experiences I know there is a God
Isaiah 43:10 NKJV
“You are My witnesses,” says the Lord, “And My servant whom I have chosen, That you may know and believe Me, And understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, Nor shall there be after Me.
I know there is a God for I am His witness
God has moved in my life in more ways than I can tell you right here this morning but He has constantly revealed himself to me throughout my life even when I still denied him as Lord He was there
I have been through hell and back not literal but figuratively speaking God has allowed me to suffer so that He would be made known to me
He allowed me to experience very hard and real childhood that was once filled with love and joy only to end in abandonment and disappointment, He allowed the service to break my physically that I could no longer give credit to how good I was of a soldier but how the only way I survived what I went through was because he was with me and he said it wasn't my time, I should be dead many times over but I stand before you today as his witness of How good He is how great he is and that He truly exist
Ive been in three major car accidents walked away unscathed 3 deployments while banged up in battle I stand here before you today.
God even saved me from suicide
He has always been there in my addictions in my my pain in that last drop of alcohol he was there and he never left me, I should have been in prison for some of the stupid stuff I did but he was there he spared me that It may save my testimony so I can be here today, So How do I know there is a God
Man I know there is a a God and His name is Jesus It was Jesus who saved that Child long ago it was Jesus who was there as I tried everything to destroy my life filled with alcohol and rage he was there he was their in the middle of it and apart from him i would have never have survived he was there when i went to fight for my country he put a hedge of protection so I can be here right now he was there when I put a gun to my head he took it from me so I can be here right now I know there is a God because he has made himself known to me so that I may be His witness to the World
Now I am here to tell you today that he has made himself known to you aswell The evidence is all around you if you would open your eye open your heart and look he has been with you all this way right there in your conscience pleading with you he is been there through your struggles through your hard times look at his Creation HOW PERFECTLY CREATED AND ORDERED IT IS HE HAS MADE HIMSELF KNOW YOU T=YOU AND TODAY HE IS USING THIS MESSAGE TO CRY OUT TO YOU TO SAY IT IS TIME MY DEWAR CHILD COME HOME . He wants nothing else than to take the burden of your life and replace it with the joy of life even now as I have been talking he has been here with us he has been convicting you, you know what I say is true please he is calling you do not harden your heart today let him be the lord and giver of life today.
