We are called to share

Intro
Our mission
Glorify God
E komo oukou iloko kona ipuka me ka Mililani
“Enter into His gates with thanksgiving”
Vision
To glorify God with a passion for Him, and a compassion for people.
The Mission
To be a loving family of believers, who together...
Share...His love daily, lead others to Christ and grow His Kingdom.
What is Evangelism
Start with what it is not:
Use Words when necessary
professionals only
anything and everything
It needs to be intentional
when I get time
we are all OK
Can lead to universalism
shaming others
winning at all costs
If you are worried more about being right than saving souls
sheep stealing
visit my church
another notch in my belt
manipulation
Greek word it comes from is good news
what evangelism is
the spirit empowered activity in which disciples of Jesus Christ give an intentional, verbal, and complete witness to the life, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, calling unbelievers to become disciples of Jesus Christ by repenting of their sins and placing their faith in Jesus Christ alone.
Pray
identify an utilized points of contact
articulate a transition statement
present the gospel
encourage questions for clarification
invite your hearers to receive Christ
2 Corinthians 5:20 ESV
20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.
We are ambassadors. We speak on his behalf. We do this for his intentions, not our own. We seek to reconcile to God.
Psalm 105:1 ESV
1 Oh give thanks to the Lord; call upon his name; make known his deeds among the peoples!
Not a NT idea
Matthew 5:15–16 ESV
15 Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
Let your light shine. We are but a candle that holds the light to share it in a dark world.
Like being an ambassador we carry Christ’s message for his purpose
Matthew 28:18–20 ESV
18 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
The great commission.
Authority given to him in which he empowers us. Go to the nations
This gives the idea that we are responsible to bring people into the flock not just convert. Disciple or find someone to disciple them.
Acts 1:8 ESV
8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
