colour- translates to either eye or appearance/ coat of many colours was either a long-sleeved robe or richly ornamented tunic that served as a mark of preferred status.
4. all his brethren- the twelve men who were the sons of Jacob (kin group)
5. your sheaves- the brethren’s stalks of grain that had been tied together to form a bundle
6. my sheaf-Joseph’s stalk of grain that had been tied together to form a bundle

Questions:
A) Why did the sheaves stand up instead of the people? Joseph’s dream was all about what God would do through him; not really about him. It was about Joseph being positioned to provide food for his people in the midst of a famine. It was about people and not about individuals. It was about a purpose and not about a position.(God’s purpose)
B) Why did Joseph’s sheaf rise but his brother’s sheaves not rise? Joseph’s sheaf (Joseph) was the one who had to be positioned not his brothers.
A) And when his brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren, they hated him,
