Joshua 1:8 NKJV
8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
Another way to translate observe to do is...“that you may take to make” or “that you may take to create”
The word “do” means to “create or make”
Another way to translate “then you will have good success” is...
“Then you will have skill to understand” or simply “understand”
Confession of the Word brings understanding
When we confess the Word we will find the Power to Perform it!
The seed of the word will grow when planted by confession on the tablets of our heart!
Hebrews 11:1 NKJV
1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Faith filled words are the seed “or substance” of things we are hoping for!
James 3:2 HCSB
2 for we all stumble in many ways. If anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a mature man who is also able to control his whole body.
Our whole body can be brought under the authority of our tongue
1 Corinthians 9:27 ESV
27 But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.
Luke 17:6 NASB95
6 And the Lord said, “If you had faith like a mustard seed, you would say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and be planted in the sea’; and it would obey you.
Notice your body a tree and anything else can be brought under your dominion through your words!
Mark 11:22–23 NKJV
22 So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. 23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.
Verse 22 literally means have the Faith of God or the God-kind of Faith
The God-kind of faith speaks, believes what he says, and has!
Mark 5:25–32 NKJV
25 Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years, 26 and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse. 27 When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. 28 For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.” 29 Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction. 30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him, turned around in the crowd and said, “Who touched My clothes?” 31 But His disciples said to Him, “You see the multitude thronging You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’ ” 32 And He looked around to see her who had done this thing.
What the woman SAID was her faith speaking!
