PRAYER TIME SUGGESTIONS

Following is a simple outline to guide you in your praying tonight.  It has been used many times I found it in the Evangelism Explosion "Partners in Prayer" booklet.  It utilizes the A-C-T-S acrostic to set forth a simple, practical procedure to a meaningful prayer time.

Use this outline.  Read all the scripture listed as you pray, listen for God to speak.  Be prepared to share with the group what God has said to you.  Also think about times when God has answered your prayers, be ready to share one such experience.

Adoration

God is One to be praised

                        Hebrews 13:15

                        Psalm 63:3,4

                        Psalm 145:10

Praise God for His goodness, mercy, kindness, glory, holiness, knowledge, wisdom, and love.

Confession

            Psalm 66:18

                        Psalm 139:23,24

                        1 John 1:9

Ask God to reveal to you and sin that may be in your heart.  Confess the sins one by one and then thank Him for cleansing you so that you can approach boldly His throne in prayer.

Thanksgiving

                        Philippians 4:6

                        1 Thessalonians 5:18

Thank God for material blessings (food, home, shoes), Physical blessings (eyes, spouse, children), spiritual blessings (salvation, cleansing), and answered prayer.

Supplication

                        Ephesians 6:18,19

                        John 15:7

                        1 John 3:22

Pray for specific needs as you are made aware of them.
