Praying from God’s Throne room. Part 5
In the year of 2021, I believe God is inviting us, his church to pray,
Prayer is how we develop intimacy with God, is how our joy is made complete, how we learn from our Heavenly Father, how we hear his voice, how our faith is built, revelation comes to us through prayer.
Our Heavenly Father is inviting you and me to enter into a new level of relationship with Him.
John the Apostle in the island of Patmos saw a portal leading to the throne room
Rev 4:1 After this I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven! And the first voice which I had heard, like the sound of a [war] trumpet speaking with me, said, "Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after these things."
Rev 4:2 At once I was in [special communication with] the Spirit; and behold, a throne stood in heaven, with One seated on the throne.
Jesus introduces himself as “the door” earlier in the book of John 10:9
John used the same word in Revelations 4:1 (thura) a door or portal
I believe your Heavenly wants to welcome you into His presence, in the Throne room.
He is calling you to be an Intercessor.
Intercessors are Bridge builders.
Yesterday I was at Hapuna with my wife, when we saw this couple from Ywam, walking down the beach,
Thor and Margaret and the Lord reminded me of their journey with cancer, a few years ago Margaret was diagnosed with terminal cancer after she had done all the doctors had told her to do, they sent her home to die since there was nothing else they could do.
I know that people we’re praying for them from different parts of the world, and God heard their cry. They told me a couple years ago that she was just living day by day and she was feeling better, the cancer went into remission and Margaret is doing well.
We don’t Know what God is going to do, in every situation, but would you be willing to pray with Jesus for whoever He ask you to?
Jesus wants for us to become intercessors, just like Him.
1 What is an intercessor?
1 What is an intercessor?
a negotiator a mediator who acts as a link between parties.
God sees as someone who stands before Him on behalf of someone else.
Ezekiel 22:30-31 30"I looked for someone among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found no one.
Abraham prayed for the righteous in Sodom and Gomorrah
Moses intercede for the people of Israel, David did
Jesus did it and continues to do for you and me.
Rom 8:34 Who is the one who condemns us? Christ Jesus is the One who died [to pay our penalty], and more than that, who was raised [from the dead], and who is at the right hand of God interceding [with the Father] for us.
Jesus is looking for Someone who is willing to pray with Him.
He wants to teach you how to pray, how to pray for oneness with Him, with our Heavenly Father and the Holy Spirit.
2 Jesus is our intercessor,
2 Jesus is our intercessor,
and He is inviting us to partner with Him. He is always praying for us.
There are people that will never enter the kingdom unless someone prays for them, they are the down and out, they have broken all the rules, offended so many people, they deserve Punishment some are so proud and arrogant, and they think they don’t need God, the criminals and murderers, only Jesus can reach out to them with you in prayer.
When we begin to intercede from the throne room with Jesus, nothing is impossible, Jesus not only gave us the right to be with Him but also the same privileges.
Ephesians 2:6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus,
There is no power or force that will hold us back,
The gates of hell will not prevail, no demonic forces will hold anyone back from Gods love and plans.
Matthew 16:18 And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.
I have met many parents who prayed their sons and daughters out of the hold of the enemy.
Some miraculous things had to happen, I remember this student praying with me some time ago, telling me how she rebel against her parents who were pastors, became a drug addicted. one day she was injecting her self with heroin in the bathroom of a gas station and the next thing she remember was walking down the isle of a church giving her life to Jesus, her parents and her whole church were praying interceding for her salvation and her deliverance.
Ex:
During my teenage years, I became a rebellious kid, difficult for my parents and teachers, but I had a praying mother, who believed that God could turn things around, that God could reach out to me, and turn me in the man of God, she was praying for.
I was lost and confused, suicidal at times, doing whatever dangerous thing I could just for the adrenaline rush, one thing I could not avoid was coming home, usually[DdC1] from a night of doing no good, even though I tried to be quiet, but my mother was awake on her knees praying for me, by her bed. There were no cell phones back then, so she did not have a clue where I was. She was so glad to see me alive and back at home, she was very patient and kind with. She would get up and offer me something to eat, sometimes was already early morning.
Because of her prayers her intercessory prayers, I am here today, and all 6 of us, children, are following Jesus.
To be an intercessor all we need to do is respond to Jesus invitation, I know He is talking to some of you to commit to prayer, to be available to pray when He asks you.
3 Intercessors are God’s special armed forces.
Jesus is the one who equips us with everything we need.
Eph 1:3 Blessed and worthy of praise be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms in Christ,
There are prayers that God will lead you into, by His Holy Spirit, that will change the course of nations, He will give wisdom and insight that no one else has. The power and authority released through you by the Holy Spirit is immense.
God may ask you to pray for a president, or for a senator, maybe a king, He will share things with you that no one else knows, and you can not find on the news, just obey Him, He knows why.
In 2 kings we read about Elisha who would hear the words the King Aram spoke in his bedroom, and tell the King of Israel about his evil plans. God protected Israel because Elisha was willing to bridge the gap, to build the bridge.
I shared with you how the Lord woke me in the middle of the night right in the beginning of this pandemic and ask me to pray because of this conference that took place in hell and was going to affect the whole world, I had no idea how bad was going to be, but I still believe that as we pray, the church of Christ, we will see God’s break through, a powerful deliverance, is not coming from a vaccine or the government, they are doing what they can but will not be enough, as we pray we will see the deliverance of the Lord.
All this is possible by
making Jesus the lord of our lives
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. Joh 3:16
To receive Him we need to accept Him as God’s son, repent from our sins and a life of selfishness, asking Him to be your Lord and savior, not that you deserve it, but is a gift from God.
If this is your desire today, please repeat this prayer after me?
Heavenly Father I’m sinner, I’m sorry for my sins, I’m willing to turn away from my sins.
I receive Christ as my savior,
I confess him as Lord
from this moment on I want to follow and serve him,
in the fellowship of his church,
In Jesus name. Amen!
