@INDENT PARA = 400 years had past since God's people had been given a word form God.

@INDENT PARA = The glory of God had departed the Temple.  Their worship had become nothing more than religious ceremony.  They had lost the freshness the excitement of knowing God.

@INDENT PARA = They needed light and they needed truth.  God sent it in the form of a baby in a manger.

@INDENT PARA = It is significant that He did not use the religious establishment to proclaim His birth.  They were too "religious," too "conservative," too "stayed."  He chose to make His announcement through His angels.

@INDENT PARA = And who better for they had known the King for eternity!

@LEVEL THREE = They came with a song ‑ A song of praise that would alert a sleeping, lost world to God's activity.

@ILL TITLE = The Glory Of God

@ILL TEXT = Scientists at Kitt Peak National Observatory southwest of Tucson recently reported the discovery of a supercluster of galaxies believed to be the largest known entity in space: one billion light years across!  When we realize that light travels almost six trillion miles in one year, the vastness of that galaxy supercluster staggers the imagination.

@ILL TEXT = But instead of inspiring mere surprise, these reports of the vastness of space should evoke from us praise and wonder, for the heavens speak of God's glory.  The whole earth has a front row seat for the heavenly display of God's handiwork.  While the stars and moon utter no audible words, their instruction is easy to understand.
