Psalm 145:1-20 KJV
Psalm 145:10–20 KJV 1900
10 All thy works shall praise thee, O Lord; And thy saints shall bless thee. 11 They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, And talk of thy power; 12 To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, And the glorious majesty of his kingdom. 13 Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, And thy dominion endureth throughout all generations. 14 The Lord upholdeth all that fall, And raiseth up all those that be bowed down. 15 The eyes of all wait upon thee; And thou givest them their meat in due season. 16 Thou openest thine hand, And satisfiest the desire of every living thing. 17 The Lord is righteous in all his ways, And holy in all his works. 18 The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him, To all that call upon him in truth. 19 He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: He also will hear their cry, and will save them. 20 The Lord preserveth all them that love him: But all the wicked will he destroy.
2 Chronicles 20:21 KJV 1900
21 And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the Lord, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the Lord; for his mercy endureth for ever.
Praise is the secret of faith.
Faith is important in receiving healing, and true faith contains the vital element of praise.
Praise will produce victory.
Luke 24:53 KJV 1900
53 And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.
Praise to God gets us near to Him.
Ephesians 5:18–20 KJV 1900
18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; 19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; 20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
Praise brings God’s response.
We should praise the Lord for spiritual blessings.
Praise is also personal.
Exodus 16:20–21 KJV 1900
20 Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto Moses; but some of them left of it until the morning, and it bred worms, and stank: and Moses was wroth with them. 21 And they gathered it every morning, every man according to his eating: and when the sun waxed hot, it melted.
Trying to exist on yesterday’s blessings will not work for us.
Psalm 50:23 KJV 1900
23 Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: And to him that ordereth his conversation aright Will I shew the salvation of God.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 KJV 1900
18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
Praise is proper.
True praise keeps us humble before the Lord... for humility is complete dependence upon the Lord.
Our praise must be reliable and persistent. Praise is the only activity that we will still do in eternity.
We praise God for His power.
We praise God for His position, and His power, and then for His personality.
We praise God for His personality. Then, we praise God for His preeminence.
You praise God for His position. You praise God for His power. You praise God for His personality.
You praise God for His preeminence. But, then you praise God for His provision.
