My Relationship with God

Genesis 6:5 says, …the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

Three categories of “Rule of Thought” with a Ministry Purpose.

I. My relationship to God

II. My relationship to Man

III. God’s purpose and plan for Me.

I. My Relationship To God.

Philippians 2:12-13 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. 13 For it is God which works in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.

a. Work out your own salvation;

Acts 17:11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

b. With fear and trembling; instead of pride.

1 Peter 5:5

…be clothed with humility, for God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble”

c. It is God which works in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.

John 14:26 But the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

1. When the horse dies dismount.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

Matthew 15:3 Jesus said, "Why do you also transgress the commandment of God because of your tradition? V:6, He said, you have made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.

Matthew 15:9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
