FIVE POWERFUL PRIORITIES

INTRODUCTION

Five Powerful Priorities...

1A.       FELLOWSHIP BEFORE WORSHIP

Matthew 5:23-24

No one can worship God, if his brother has something against him. If he has done his brother wrong.

You are eliminated from any act of worship.

You cannot be right with God if you are consciously and willing wrong with your brother.

Tainted money - taint yours

What some people call burying the hatchet is just digging up more dirt!

2A.       SPIRITUAL COMES BEFORE THE MATERIAL

Matthew 6:33

This is the key to prosperity and the cure for worry.

Do your really expect to go to heaven worshipping things. What you go after here will determine where you go in the hereafter.

3A.       PURITY BEFORE MINISTRY

Matthew 7:1-5

Warning against hyporitical judging.

Get the speck out your brother’s eye but clean your eyes first!

(Galatians 6:1)  Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted.

We must be blameless and pure before we try to minister!

Egg on his head, strip of bacon on each ear. “Came to see you about may brother.”

“Faults in others I can see but praise the Lord there’s none in me.”

4A.       BINDING BEFORE LOOSING

Matthew 12:22-29 (key v. 29)

Who is the strong man?

Satan!

Who must bind him - he cannot be tricked!

We cannot out wit the devil, you must overcome him by sheer force - bind him!

Then we can loose souls

Matthew 18:18-19

Many do not want to come until we bind Satan n their lives

(2 Corinthians 4:4)  The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

Satan is the god of this age.

You job is to bind the blinder!

They must be willing to go - our prayers free them to be saved but it does not force them to be saved.

5A.       THE INSIDE BEFORE THE OUTSIDE

Matthew 23:25-26

What men need is a new birth not another bath.

The enviroment is not the answer

Man got in trouble in a good enviroment

Only God can make you good!

(Philippians 1:6)  being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
