The mercifulness of God
The mercifulness of God
He will not leave you, destroy you, or forget the covenant with your fathers that He swore to them by oath, because the Lord your God is a compassionate God.
Deuteronomy can be looked at as the book of renewal it is the book that prepares Isreal for the Future, by seeking to reestablish their covenant with God.
Why is this important to us today the book of Deuteronomy was written after 1446 BC how can this affect me?
We all need some mercy every now and again right . Satan may tell us that our sin is so great that there is no way that God can forgive us for our sin.
Lets look at what has happened to Gods people up to this point. They have been oppressed and enslaved. They have run away form the only homes that they new. God saved them by parting the Red sea . and what do they do the first chance they get they forget how great our God is and they start to worship Idols. God being the merciful God that he is sends Moses down the Mountain with the 10 commandments.

How has God shown you Mercy ?
Has he not given us a way to be forgiven for our sin’s’?
Since we are a sinful people what do we deserve from God?
Some would say death others would say his wreath.
In the forgiveness of sins
In the forgiveness of sins
We have to do two things for God to forgive us of our sins.
We need to ask Jesus into our hearts and ask him to become our Lord and savior.
we need to pray. we not only need to pray for our own salvation and our needs we also need to pray foe those that are lost.
We need to pray that we are the people that ether plant the seed or that we are the ones that tend to the garden so that God can rep the harvest.
In todays world there are countless lost people. Just think how awesome it would be for each of us to reach at lest on of those people.
Last week we talked about forgiveness. I was told by someone that they thought I was talking directly to them. I will have to say that i was not talking about them in last weeks message but God gave me the words to speak so that some one would be touched. Dont we have serve an awesome God. tieing back into what we talked about last week God showed and continues to show us mercy. So why is it so hard for us to show mercy to our follow man.
Lets us Gods mercy as a reference. We have sined in maners that only GOd will know
Yet He was compassionate;
He atoned for their guilt
and did not destroy them.
He often turned His anger aside
and did not unleash all His wrath.
