The Good Gifts of God!
The Good Gifts of God!
God is good! I say that because he shared Darla with us!
He blessed us with so many moments and memories that will carry on in us!
But now we are here to say goodby, as she returns to God!
God Is Holding all the best things in life for us in heaven!
Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow.
In this life we go through good things and bad things. God is the one who sends us the good and perfect things.
We are on a journey and we need one another.
This life isn’t the final destination!
When we get where we are going then all the best things in life will be there for us.
No more sorrow, no more pain! God will wipe away every tear.
Today we cry we mourn because Darla was a blessing to all of us!
And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
We know there is comfort in our from our God today! We need comfort because Darla will be greatly missed! She was valuable and and touched our lives in a big way!
Because of this truth we mourn! She leaves a great hole in us. Yet there is comfort in the knowledge that The same God who shared her with us is here today to comfort us and strengthen our hearts.
The comfort is in the fact that she is in heaven with the Lord!
So today we need the comforter
We need God’s help!
The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart,
And saves such as have a contrite spirit.
Blessed are those who mourn,
For they shall be comforted.
He heals the brokenhearted
And binds up their wounds.
God sees our pain and suffering! He understand us! He walked in our shoes!
He is faithful to provide for our pain today!
My flesh and my heart fail;
But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
Let us receive the comfort of God today! Let us cry and weep today! knowing that tomorrow we will be reunited with all those who have gone ahead of us!
For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s.
We are here to remember ________
We are thankful for the life we got to share with them
Their lives and ours are woven together ways that are so deep and lasting.
How they touched our lives
How they smiled
How they laughed
Their words and actions
The hole that they leave behind in our lives
We are forever marked by their life.
We are better today because of the days we got spent together.
Thank God for the blessings we share today!
Let’s pray!
Final Words!
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.
She came from God in heaven and to Him she has returned!
All who believe in the Name of Jesus have eternal life! Life that is truly the best thing we get to share together today
Grave Side!
A Psalm of David.
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord
Forever.
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”
For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Life’s Greatest Moments
Life’s Greatest Moments
Life is made of moments. Some are great moments some are not so great.
There are moments for all kinds of things in life. The book of Ecclesiastes explains it this way.
TO EVERYTHING there is a season, and a time for every matter or purpose under heaven:
A time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to pluck up what is planted,
Today I would like to talk about some of the most meaningful moments in life.
Moments mark us.
Moments leave memories. Memories that help shape our understanding of life.
We have had many moments with Shane, we have seen many memories that will stay with us forever.
Moments can be amazing and life changing but they can also hurt and leave scars.
The moment we Lose someone we love,
The moment our heart is broken.
The moment we fall in love.
The moment our child is born
The moment we failed terribly
The moment we celebrated victory.
All these moments make up our perspective in life.
The Greatest Moments in life are given to us by God
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.
God is the giver of the best moments in life.
The moment life begins God is the giver of life
The moment we learn to love, God is the giver of Love.
The moments that build us are given to us by God
Then there are the hurtful moments. In these moments God gives us healing.
In the hard moments God is there to give us strength and courage.
God gives us peace for the moments of troubles.
I was told that those who meet Shane would often say they remember the “moment” they met him.
I guess there was something about that moment when you first meet someone.
Shane also had a moment that marked his life and that he never forgot.
When He was 9 years old He received Jesus into his life. He said he remembered the moment it happened.
This moment changed everything for Shane.
Some ridiculed him for his decision but it didn’t and couldn’t change the fact of what happened inside him at that moment.
Today I hope to share with you this moment. The same moment that Shane experienced.
Shanes favorite bible verse is:
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
The moment He experienced was the moment this verse filled his life.
For God so loved the world (you and me and Shane)
The moment love invaded his life! The moment all our fears and worries become small in the light of such amazing love!
That even after all we have done, and all our weakness God would still give his greatest gift so that we could become His. Wow!
This love is for all of us!
Today can be that moment for you!
Let’s bow our heads in prayer!
