SCRIPTURE: Psalm 23:4

Psalm 23:4 NASB95
4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
While laying on my bed I noticed the shadow of the fan caused by a clock light. Four things attracted my attention. 1) the fan is real, 2) the shadow is bigger than the fan blades, 3) the shadow decreases as the fan rotates/moves, 4) when the ceiling light is turned on the shadow disappears.

The valley of death/lost is real

Whatever situation that you may be facing today is real; COVID 19, fear of losing your job, home, not being able to travel or do the things you are accustomed to etc. is real

The shadow is bigger

When we look at our situations from our point of view it looks bigger when we worry and cant seem to find a solution.
John 14:1 NIV
1 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me.

The shadow decreases

The shadow decreases when the blade rotate.
David said, “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death”
Things look dreadful, but if we are alive, and walking, we will make it because God is with us as we keep moving by praying and praising before God.
John 14:27 NASB95
27 “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.
Matthew 11:29–30 NIV
29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

The shadow disappears

When God shines His light all the shadows disappears, even though the situation or valley we may have to go through. God will help us to reach a new level.
David said “I will fear no evil for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.”
Genesis 1:3 NASB95
3 Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.
There may be some situation that is casting a big shadow in your life, let God through His Son Jesus Christ into your life and shine His light. The lost is real, but the shadow that is greater will disappear. He is knocking at that dark place in your life, open the door and let him in.
