SPECTATOR OR PARTICIPANT?

Intro. - Simple is not always easy
Christianity Is Personal - “Do you love me?”
Each individual is responsible for their life in Jesus Christ. We are not necessarily measured by our “church membership.” Each person is important in the body of Christ. There is only one body, but many members.
Christianity Is A Person - “Do you love me?”
Christianity is not a set of ethics or moral codes. It is not a philosophy or a system of thought. No other religion can claim this. We believe in jesus Christ, His death, burial, and resurrection (! Cor. 14:1-4).
Christianity Is A Ministry - “Feed my sheep”
It is an obligation given to all. A paid staff or strong leadership does not excuse us from the work of ministry. some are given special tasks in the church, but we are all to use our talents for the growth of the body of Christ to reach spiritual maturity (Ephesians 4:11-13).
Christianity Is A Way Of Life - “Follow me.”
Christianity is a way of life, not an occupation or past-time. At all times people are to see you as a Christian. When God’s people gather we ought to want to be there. Christ is not #1 or top priority, He is our life. We are to move when He does. We are to follow Him, eventually through the grave into His presence.
