Sometimes God does not answer prayer the way we expected. Sometimes it seems like God doesn't answer at all.

What do you do when there is nothing you can do?

What do you do when there is no way through and no way out of a situation?

There are problems that we can work to resolve but today I want to talk about problems that have no solution.

Today we are experiencing this in many different ways

We know some folks who are experiencing a new medical or health normal. A new diagnosis that is a long term condition that has no cure.

We have a couple of friends now who are experiencing the loss of a lifelong partner. They now have to learn a new normal with out their other half, there is no solving that.

Some folks are experiencing job loss, lay offs and entire industries are going away because of COVID. What now?

Many parents have become teachers and principles of their own schools with no resolution in sight.

Economies have tanked and Politics are going crazy and there is no way to agree on how to move forward.

We compare our selves to others and that makes it worse!

When we experience these seasons we begin to tell ourselves lies...

I will never be happy again
Nothing good can come from this
There’s no point in continuing

To kick us off I want to share some truths that i will begin to unpack today as we open our Bibles...

God is not absent, apathetic or angry.

Before we move forward I want to take a moment to poke at you a little bit...

There is a bit of hypocrisy when we are crying out for God or wondering where He is or why He won’t answer our prayers, because we’ve all had seasons where we were hoping God was too busy to care or see what we are up to.

John The Baptist

Matthew 11:11 NLT
11 “I tell you the truth, of all who have ever lived, none is greater than John the Baptist. Yet even the least person in the Kingdom of Heaven is greater than he is!
Matthew 4:12 NLT
12 When Jesus heard that John had been arrested, he left Judea and returned to Galilee.
Matthew 4:13 NLT
13 He went first to Nazareth, then left there and moved to Capernaum, beside the Sea of Galilee, in the region of Zebulun and Naphtali.
Matthew 11:2–6 NIV
2 When John, who was in prison, heard about the deeds of the Messiah, he sent his disciples 3 to ask him, “Are you the one who is to come, or should we expect someone else?” 4 Jesus replied, “Go back and report to John what you hear and see: 5 The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is proclaimed to the poor. 6 Blessed is anyone who does not stumble on account of me.”
