Acts 17:24-31

Who is God the Father?

1.) He is the Almighty.

• Acts 17:24b-25, “[God]… is the Lord of heaven and earth …he himself gives all men life and breath and everything else.”
• Psalm 89:8, “O Lord God Almighty, who is like you? You are mighty, O Lord, and your faithfulness surrounds me.”

2.) He is the Creator.

• Acts 17:24a, “The God who made the world and everything in it…”
• Genesis 1:1, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”

3.) He is Our Father.

• Acts 17:26, 28, “From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; …‘We are his offspring.’”
• Genesis 1:26-27, “Then God said, ‘Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over…’”
• Matthew 6:9, “This, then, is how you should pray: ‘Our Father in heaven…”
