Chapter 4 - rapture
After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, “Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this.”
Chapter 5 the scroll and lamb
Rev 5 6 In the midst of the Elders stood a Lamb as though it had been slain
Chapter 6 - loose the seals and judgements
Antichrist, War, Famine, Death - four horseman 1/4 of population destroyed
Under the alter - then Joel, Isiah, Jesus - cataclysmic event possible polar shift
Chapter 7 - There is an aside - John sees 4 angles holding back the wind of the earth
After these things I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, on the sea, or on any tree.
Then I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God. And he cried with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was granted to harm the earth and the sea,
saying, “Do not harm the earth, the sea, or the trees till we have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads.”
the 7 years of tabulation - first 3 1/2 years - we see 2 witnesses for 42 months - they shut up the heavens so it will rain not = the great famine
Holding back the wind may cause the rain to cease - hydrolic cycle evaporate into the air them clouds producing rain no wind - no rain maybe sustained in the atmosphere itself (see pic)
Tides stop , currents stop, rain stops. crops fail, all will stop if the winds stop!
“Without wind systems warm, moist air won't move around. Water might still evaporate but it won't travel meaning anywhere away from a large body of water will dry up. ... Plants, animals and humans will slowly die from dehydration with most water inaccessible as salt water or ice”
“When the wind stops blowing, the Earth will suffer a big difference in temperature between the two poles and the equator as well as between the sea and the land because the density of heat distribution will be uneven. Cold areas will become extremely cold, hot areas will become extremely hot, which means that life cannot exist on Earth.”

The angles are powerful enough to hold the wind. How awesome is our God
And I heard the number of those who were sealed. One hundred and forty-four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel were sealed:
of the tribe of Judah twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Reuben twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Gad twelve thousand were sealed;
of the tribe of Asher twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Naphtali twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Manasseh twelve thousand were sealed;
of the tribe of Simeon twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Levi twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Issachar twelve thousand were sealed;
of the tribe of Zebulun twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Joseph twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Benjamin twelve thousand were sealed.
Number sealed 144,000 of the tribes of Israel - clear as day
Not the JW. Not Herbert Armstrong of the Plain Truth, it is the people of Israel
It is not symbolic but pain and literal
There are actually 13 tribes
Joseph & Jacob in Egypt - considered dead - Jacob Ephram & Monaasa Joseph’s sons became tribes divided by 2 - Levitical tribe was 13th - Tribe of Joseph but now listed! Joseph = tribe of Ephrim
Dan is missing but Levi listed - Dan first tribe to fall into idolatry - may be why they are not listed
The seal are protected rom the judgements of God
Judah listed first Ruben lost his birthright so Judah given the ruling scepter so Ruben listed second
After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands,
and crying out with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”
Crying Salvation - Hosanna means “save now”
Jesus entry into the city similar event
A crowd in heaven from everywhere and everyone
All the angels stood around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures, and fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God,
saying: “Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom, Thanksgiving and honor and power and might, Be to our God forever and ever. Amen.”
This differs from the account in Chapter 5 The church sings
And they sang a new song, saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll, And to open its seals; For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by Your blood Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation,
And have made us kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth.”
Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne, the living creatures, and the elders; and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands,
saying with a loud voice: “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain To receive power and riches and wisdom, And strength and honor and glory and blessing!”
Churches song = riches the church is his treasure
Martyrs song - Thanksgiving
This group thanksgiving is the response by the angles
Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, “Who are these arrayed in white robes, and where did they come from?”
And I said to him, “Sir, you know.” So he said to me, “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple. And He who sits on the throne will dwell among them.
These receive all the rights and privileges of the redeemed - They serve him in his temple
The church however is reigning with him and His treasure
No church here but those under the alter their number is completed - at look to the end
They are the martyrs of the tribulation system - those who did not receive the mark of the beast for they were given power to take their lives
Possibly those who have never heard before
Because they did not want to believe the truth
Conscious rejection - How many today have not heard
The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders,
and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie,
144,000 will preach and angles will preach
John did not recognize them but then explained by the Elder
They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat;
for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”
Represents their suffering before being martyred - 3 years with out water, Great famine, persecution and great death!
We now see the completeness of God’s program. John sees into the future once again confirming God’s promise in Chapter 5 to them that is a day that fullness of the martyrs will be complete!
So where will you find yourself?
Many say “well…I will get saved after the rapture because I know that the story is true. The danger there is the Scripture we just read…you may be unable to change because of a spirit of delusion!
