THE MIRACLE OF GOD’S PROVISION

 

Exodus 12:21-23

INTRODUCTION

A God of Might and Miracles

(Psalms 77:14)  You are the God who performs miracles; you display your power among the peoples.

What is a Miracle?      

“A miracle has been defined as a work wrought by a divine power for a divine purpose by means beyond the reach of man.” Lockyer

What is the purpose of Miracles?

As a proof of divine revelation.

As a proof of Christ’s deity.

As a proof of the authority of the Gospel.

To symbolize the blessings of God.

What is our response to miracles?

(Psalms 77:11)  I will remember the deeds of the LORD; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago.

They went to bed slaves and awoke free men.

(John 8:36)  So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

2B.       By a Consecrated People

They had been redeemed by the blood of the lamb - they owed their lives to the lamb.

(John 1:29)  The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, "Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!

3B.       By a Directed People (13:21-22)

(Romans 8:14)  because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.

APPLICATION

It was God’s Providence that Brought you Here - He has worked the events of your life so that you could and would be here - Your History.

You have seen God Providence for your salvation defined Symbolically - Christ died for you.

Now will you all Him to demonstrate His salvation in you openly?
