THE LORD'S SUPPER - MORNING WORSHIP

PREPARATION

Prior to the Service

1.             Enough men should be enlisted to serve the elements to the entire church family present in the Worship Center. (At least 10 men will be needed)

2.             Sufficient amounts of the elements should be prepared at least enough to serve 300. There should be two trays of each elements prepared for both of the center sections. Two bread and two cup trays.

3.             Each deacon is to be given his assignment in writing prior to that morning. For instance those serving the choir should know which side to stand on and which side to serve.

4.             The chairman and vice-chairman will be responsible to enlist and assign the deacons.

5.             The table and elements should be in place prior to Sunday School on the morning of the service.

During the Service

1.             Deacons who are choir members should leave the choir following the special. They are to disrobe and join the congregation.

2.             When the Pastor calls the deacons should come forward and take their places on the front pews.

I.  THE BREAD

a)             Deacons will please stand

b)             Prayer for the bread                                               Don Towe

c)             Pastor will distribute bread trays and deacons go to their serving places immediately*

d)             Watch for Pastor=s cue to return to Alter Area

e)             Trays returned to Pastor

f)              Pastor serves all deacons and ministers

g)             Pastor Tim shares concerning the Bread...

1 Cor 11:24 (NIV)

and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, "This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me."

h)             All eat together

II.  THE CUP

a)             Deacons will please stand

b)             Prayer for the cup                                                Don Rhodes

c)             Pastor will distribute juice trays and deacons go to their serving places immediately*

d)             Watch for Pastor=s cue to return to the Alter Area

e)             Trays returned to Pastor

f)              Pastor serves all deacons and ministers

g)             Pastor Tim shares concerning the Cup...

1 Cor 11:25

In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me."

h)             All drink together
