IT’S YOUR SERVE

Romans 12:1-8

INTRODUCTION

CBT:    Christians serve God by using their spiritual gifts in their church.

TA:      To help young adults discover ways to serve God in their church

What does it mean to serve?

Distribute “Enlistment Information” Cards

Explain - Begin - Complete by end of class!

How can we serve God more effectively?

Live a transformed life

Evaluate self by God’s activity in my life

Work together with other believers

Utilize my spiritual gifts


1A.       BE TRANSFORMED, NOT CONFORMED (1-2)

 

Assignments:

Team One:      Read Romans 12:1-2. What does it mean to conform. List ways you are tempted to conform. What are some of the results of conforming to the world.

Team Two:      What does it mean to be transformed. Who actually does the transforming? 

Be alert to ways the world tries to conform us.

2A.       BE REAL, NOT EXAGGERATED (3)

What is meant by “sober judgement?”

God has give us enough faith to trust him.

3A.       BE A MEMBER, NOT A LONER (4-5)

Why are we important to our church?

4A.       USE IT, DON’T LOSE IT (6-8)

What is a spiritual gift?       

A special skill or aptitude given by God to be used it the church for the glory of God.

Who has spiritual gifts?

What are the purposes of Spiritual gifts.

Ephesians 4:11-12; 1 Peter 4:10-11
