16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.
In the midst of any storm, visibility is limited.
But the truth is, just above the tempest , the sun still shines. It is constant and faithful to give its light, which is a testimony to God who is “The Father of Lights.”
This is a truth to which James speaks to those who are facing temptations and trials.
11 We count those blessed who endured. You have heard of the endurance of Job and have seen the outcome of the Lord’s dealings, that the Lord is full of compassion and is merciful.
In the midst of the storm, in the center of the trial, there is an Unseen Hand.
The clouds of circumstance may hinder our visibility, but the Son, the light of life, still shines.
His love, His power, and His faithfulness remains constant.
We we can’t see, we can pray. No circumstance separates us from the love of God.
38 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,
39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Although we can’t see Him, we can still touch Him.
We can touch Him through Prayer.
15 Now when the attendant of the man of God had risen early and gone out, behold, an army with horses and chariots was circling the city. And his servant said to him, “Alas, my master! What shall we do?”
16 So he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”
17 Then Elisha prayed and said, “O Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” And the Lord opened the servant’s eyes and he saw; and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.
