We do have Bible study on Wednesday night. We are in adults are doing if what if as if if we all of those words come out in the next three weeks as we share together a little bit of what God wants us to be involved in in his kingdom we meet at 6:30 in the room right behind us there on Wednesdays while they young people are meeting in the other room. I am excited about this year. Lots of things happening that the world can't stop. It's an interesting thing the world can stop what God is doing regardless of how much it tries. So we invite you as they lead up worship or saying in as we participate in communion together. Today families are in turmoil. I've heard that there are individuals in family groups that are rooting for different team.

even in my wife's family we had some conversation while we were in Missouri and and realize that it's probably good that they aren't in the same room at some of these types of Bounce.

You and I live in a world.

Where are our enemy? Has those things in mind? I want to share with you just a few thoughts this morning the reality.

This Is War It's about some game. It's not some activity that we can win or lose and it doesn't really matter cuz I don't really care which team wins today. They're all going to make more money than I've made in my whole life just today. So what what right? Only 20,000 fans will be in with the stadium that seats like 60,000 because they're all social distancing and all of those exciting things and we'll watch the song and office there on the sidelines when I was there on the field and all these other things and we'll probably just get a chuckle out of it. It'll be interesting.

But I want you to understand what's going to happen this afternoon that we call. The Super Bowl is not life or death. That's the real deal.

Plus I look at life and death in the spiritual sense. I want you to understand. But the reason I believe the world struggles with the enemy is because they cannot identify him. If we aren't willing to identify the enemy we cannot come against them effectively.

I've been around Sports just enough to know that in the last few days and weeks I will guarantee you they have watched more films of the opposite team, then we can even begin to think about. Because they are identifying the weaknesses and the strength of the enemy.

UC They aren't watching films of the Denver Broncos. we're watching film of the Seattle Seahawks we're watching film of the Patriots or any of the rest of them they are watching films of each other looking for spring looking for weaknesses so they know how to compete

for you and me today I want you to understand that the reason the world is struggling I believe is because in the natural we cannot compete against an unseen enemy.

for most people even for Nations Are unseen enemy is a huge blind spot.

We look around and you can look through your phone or or printed pages. Are you want I have one book that's about gay sex called the religions in the world. There's more collisions and you and I can even begin to consider why because somehow all of these people are trying to defend themselves against the enemy of their soul with no success. We quibble over silly stuff. Power structure does organizations what kind of buildings we need to have or don't need to have what kind of musicians we have or don't have all of these things that are superficial and somehow we are attempting to defend ourselves against the enemy of our soul.

Acts chapter 17 Paul was speaking to the philosophers of the day who worship the multitude of Idols who prided themselves on their religious diversity. By the way, if you had enough this was a lot of that going on today's world depriving their selves on religious diversity all roads lead somewhere. Not sure where

You see because they cannot come to grips with the finality of Eternity. Is a way they want. In the way they dream. I see that blind into issues. First of all, they are blind to who God is. And secondly, they are blind Satan who is behind their blindness. Paul use the term there that was quite interesting because he says they're groping about maybe if you grope about long enough, you will actually grow the right thing.

UC verse 23 their only hope is to know the true God there for the one whom you worship without knowing. He says that right. Play the reality is him I Proclaim to you I Proclaim to you today the reality that if you do not know Jesus Christ as your personal savior is available to you in this passage says he is near to you and you don't even know it.

You can look at all of the religions of the world. It does not matter the reality. It is a relational thing that is found in a spiritual realm not in the natural. That's why they didn't see it.

I really believe that Satan really doesn't care if you worship.

This problem is is that I want you to know God Paul wanted you to know God.

See the reality for you and me is the issue is not whether we are religious in our worship. The issue is whether we come to a recognition of Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and God the father as truly being got them all.

Only the Satan not want you to know God. He really doesn't want you to know him either. Satan would rather you just go along and your Darkness thinking this is just the way it is, and there isn't any hope. Rather than recognize the enemy of your soul who is Satan the Devil Himself. We have to be clear in our message and recognition that we must identify as the enemy if we are to compete to come back to be victorious over the one who is already lost. It's amazing. We fight a losing battle many times against the one who is already lost the war. Why I believe first of all is because we have not identified. Rihanna Met. We think it's people we think it's politics. We think it's organizations. It's none of those things. Satan wants to keep you blinded to the truth of who Jesus Christ really is. The second thing we need to do is assess his strengths and his weaknesses.

I don't know if you've noticed but around you there are millions of people. Who suffer under the grip of Satan? Anybody know those people how many of them are inside the body of Christ see it's not only the unbelievers but its believers who are suffering at the hand of Satan, I believe because we don't understand how to know his strengths and his weaknesses so that we can come against him effectively.

Family Guy, I've had the privilege of being in several countries of the world and one of the things I notice is that there are countries that are held in the grip of Satan. It's not just ideologies. It is the absolute grip. Of satanic influence that leads evil leaders who are not only perpetrators while are also bound to him.

We could say if we look carefully that. Satan is operating in Middle Eastern hatred. African tribalism communism Western secularism other philosophies other worldviews, there's all kinds of them named won the recognition. That all of these are ruled by powers of Darkness. And until we're willing to look at it and assessment. It will have power and control in our lives. John chapter 8 verse 44 he says of those who are governed by Darkness, you are of your father the devil and the desires of your father you want to do he's a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. This was fairly clear, isn't it? With me, it's not difficult.

When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources for he is a liar and the father of it. Then you and I would come to the conclusion. I hope I trust.

That we know deep inside that replacing God is not possible.

And yet we see all around us. Those who continue to try to replace God.

propagate Satan's message has its truth. I don't know about you. I've seen a lot of things lately that are throwing out. There is truth that are long ways from truth.

Sadly, it doesn't matter. What round what comes in whether it's religious or political or social?

Because Satan has a grip on the lives of people and they become servants to him.

6000 years now Satan has been trying to exalt his throne above God.

Fortunately 6000 years and he has not yet one and just in case you're wondering he will not he will not. He has already lost the war even though he keeps fighting a battle for your soul and mine. see the reality is

we have to get down to understanding who he is and figuring out what is going on because of him. Matthew chapter 15 gives us a really interesting picture. It's right after Jesus was sharing with them about the solar in the seed. That's what he says Peter answer is because there's this dialogue going on. What's the really carefully to the answer? Are you still also still without understanding the unbelievers were without understanding but are you also without understanding?

You and I I believe need to assess what it is that Satan is attacking us with. I need to know the realm that Satan is bugging me every one of us have a different place in God. That means everyone of us eating his attacking in a different way. You must be able to recognize and assess how the enemy attacks you.

It's an amazing thing. It's like a transformation when people get behind the wheel it all of a sudden there crazy people.

I have to admit. I was going into Costco parking lot the other day, too. Try to get my hearing aids so they work better. For my ears will work better if you understand that.

I'm waiting for an individual pull out and another car comes whipping in from the other side right in front of me into the parking spot. I actually had an evil thought you do you have to say Lord. I know the enemy is wanting to beat me up with this. Let me change my attitude. I know there's another parking spot here so far. Just right but it's how the enemy of your soul begins a present. Perfect. Now it's got a work that continues Rollin Rollin Rollin Rollin till it becomes a major issue in your life.

When we haven't allowed to truly transform Our Lives. It's called a nun renewed mind. We haven't allowed God's will renew our thinking process. Strongholds are built by the enemy in just a little ways that seem so trades and chill. We see something shoots take place. And we wonder how did that happen?

you see strongholds are built when we reject the wooing of God in the little things are you listening carefully strongholds come and get built in our lives when we reject God speaking to us in the little things listen carefully Matthew chapter 13 verse 19 He's talking about the sower and the seed and he says this one one hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it the wicked one comes and snatches what away what is sown in his heart? This is he who received the seed by the wayside and I know words when I reject to the word, however trivial it may scene.

the enemy quickly gets rid of the message of God's destroys it in our lives. This is the one that what received the seed by the wayside the birds came and ate it. Gone the anime snatches it away.

What does it really mean?

Be careful how you hear the voice of God?

God isn't beating you up with his message. Are you hearing me? the still small voice of God is speaking to you about things that are keeping you from a positive relationship with him What do you do with the message? I could list a lot of things but then some of you would say while I am talking to me, so I will just let the Holy Spirit deal with you. Cuz he does a really good job.

when we assess what the enemy is doing in our lives we can resist not in our own strength, but in the power of God, we carry out a plan to resist the defeated Satan. Get the defeated Satan. He is already defeated. Why are we giving him any place at all?

2nd Corinthians chapter 10 verses 3 through 5 site though. We walk in the flesh. We do not war according to the flesh for the weapons of our Warfare are not carnal But Mighty in God pulling down strongholds casting down arguments and every High thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God bringing every thought into captivity to The Obedience of Christ listen carefully. He is speaking to you about how he wants you to live that how I want you to live. He is touching your life in a powerful way in the power of the spirit. And how do you react and respond is whether the enemy continues to buying you or you got forgive me here. I am taking let me walk with you and all of your power all of your Authority. So I have a question before I read all these scriptures. What do you spend your time thinking about?

What do you read? What do you want? What do you hear? What are you allowing into your eyes into your ears into your mouth? And how do they affect your relationship with God?

Colossians chapter 3 verse 16 says let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom. If any of you lacks wisdom what let him ask of God. Teaching and admonishing one another in Psalms and hymns. So it's okay to sing in the shower or the car.

But it's a recognition that the Lord is so filling my being that Grace is emanating. What's up, love and forgiveness and face and healing and he'll just go down the list.

Hebrews chapter 13 verse 15 therefore let it by him. Let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God that is the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.

You want to be fruitful just brace you just allow him to capture your thinking in your life that it just exudes. I know people that just exude football.

What does this do for us? I have no idea. I mean if they were going to write me a check for a million, I might pay more attention, you know, I just don't get it with something.

If I could say it just really bluntly let us be consumed with God let that be the center of our affection.

Psalm 103:1 by the way, there are hundreds and hundreds of things that we could bless the Lord within songs like we won't take time today. Bless the Lord. Oh my soul and all that is within me everything in me bless the Lord bless His. Holy name 60880 bless our God you people and make the voice of his praise be hurt. That means you can actually praise him out loud. You don't have to do it under your breath in church. You can praise the Lord out loud. It's okay.

Come into His courts with praise and thanksgiving.

Let's get down to reality.

I want you to understand today is your day to be free.

I read that passage of scripture. You know, I really like David. Psalms Vol up I really like it. But I found out as I read scripture. I realize that David had some real problems.

Renew a right Spirit Within Me. Don't cast me away from your presence. Don't take your Holy Spirit from me Ray Joy unto me the joy of your salvation, and I've only by your generous Spirit, aren't you glad for his generous Spirit now listen what he says about it. Consequence something's going to happen here when God redeems me to oneself what he says then I will teach transgressors your ways and sinners shall be converted to you. You praying for people that aren't saved? Let's make sure we're right. Let's make sure we're on track. Let's make sure that we have our communion with God. And so when we speak they recognized were speaking with an authenticity of a right spirit before God them. Sinners will be saved.

Reality for us today is I think many times we forget who the enemy is. We don't understand then we don't understand where the battlefield is in our lives. We're just going along and can't figure out why lots of things happened. Let me tell you today friends. The reality is

when we understand the enemy. and we assess what he is doing in our lives we can easily come against him it's called acting in faith let me just give you a couple of examples and and you can go from there

if what you read is picking him up away from a relationship with God you have a choice you can either put up on a shelf for later or you can get rid of it

What do you really want? What do you watch on television or on your computer? What do you watch on your phone? You know I got this new. phone

I have no idea what that even means. I know it's got three Grammy Rose cameras, and I only know how to use one.

I know that I use about 1/16 of its memory. Cuz I sell them take pictures and do all those other things you do. I want one thing out of my camera. I want to be able to talk on the phone and keep my calendar. What else is there to do? I can use one that was 20 years old would I be just fine? But you'd be unhappy because you wouldn't be able to get ahold of me.

But what are we watch? What are we here? What are we see? Where do we go? What is it that our real goal is and what are we willing to say to God? Well, I was growing up, you know, it was really easy. my mother had one faucets Can you take Jesus with you? And that bite.

Especially if you know what you're going because generally when we know when we're going it wouldn't have been acceptable all these when I was growing up. Do they almost anything goes why because we're willing to allow all kinds of things into our lives that are keeping us from real peace and rest in power with God.

so my challenge for you today is this recognize we truly are in a war recognize that the enemy wants to keep you from being powerful in God and being victorious in God who he is that bite in your life recognize the reality of where the battle is in your mind what are you watching you know what's going on between our ears What are we reading? You know. I talk to people that are that call themselves Christians in the NFL. We have these sections, you know, I guess they caught them canceling. It was just talk to me cuz I'm not a counselor. Put yourself and saw. How's your Bible study? How's your reading going? Hello. Oh, well, I don't read very often. Well. duh

What's the problem? The problem isn't that God has forsaken you or that God doesn't want to answer you can. You can understand you don't know what's going on. It's like playing football and don't have any idea what the opposition's doing. Just give me the wall and I'll guarantee you get sacked every time because you have no clue. I want you to understand today the reality for you and me is in this day and time that's going on around us. The best thing you can do is recognize the enemy in begin to worship and praise God in all of his ability and all of his power in all of his glory and say I am walking through this year with you because you will be glorified in me because you are the one that gives me everything. I need. I don't need all this other stuff. I just need you Jesus. Father. Thank you for your word.
