I haven't eaten since Thursday

Download doesn't like freakin weekend.

That's where it belongs in the heart are reading this morning is taken from Deuteronomy chapter 30.

God wanted to really Warren the Israelites as they were preparing to enter the into the promised land that there were some expectations that he had and if the Israelites lived in those expectations, there was blessing and but if they didn't there would be judgment and so let's read it and kind of get started and where we're headed today. Chapter 30 of Deuteronomy verses 15 to 18 V I set before you today life and prosperity death and Destruction for I command you today to love the Lord your God to walk in obedience to him and to keep his commands decrees and laws. Then you will live and increase in the Lord your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess if your heart turns away and you're not obedient and if you are drawn away to bow down to other gods and worship them I declare to you this day that you will certainly be destroyed. You will not live long in the land. You are crossing the Jordan to enter and possess and that's kind of the way it is with Mankind and it's always been that way and we'll take a look at the first episode today. This says step of either obedience or Disobedience if we obey God and do what he says then there is a good judgment. If we do not there is a rather poor judgment. So look to serve him as we can prayer request and we need to be in prayer for the Griffith family Griffin for Mick who has a a growth side and pray that he would find out. I think he's going into the doctor this week and depth also pray for Darlene is she is still recovering from the back surgery. osprey Grace's father almighty, are you and how worthy of Praise honor and glory and and true obedience for father as we live in that obedience? We find the rich and Powerful blessings that you do pour out on our lives. And we thank you for that father. We pray that we would live in that life and be able to express the joy in Fellowship we have in you to those around us thinking of those around us father. We know that many are struggling with their relationship with you and in need of knowing Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior for it is a poor judgement today, or they will have if they depart from this life with apart from you and so father may we be Witnesses and testimonies to those around us that are in need that they will know you and have that abundant. Life and Eternity knowing you father. We do pray for the needs that are there and we think of the Griffith family and Darlene and her back and your continued healing on her. I know she wants to be here and yet it is painful and so may you would encourage and strengthen her and restore we pray for Mick that as he goes through this struggle that the number one would find out. What direction is going in there. Then what help he can receive for what the struggle is. Father we do think of the unspoken request that that people have here we pray that you would be with each and every one of them that you would encourage and help people to see your money hand for father, you know, each struggle each desire each will for a life and may they align with your desires for their life as well? We do pray that you would be with us. Now as we continue along in this service bless us richly with our worship of you and song and in the following of your scripture and then truly and taking the communion cup that we would remember you in Jesus name. Amen. All of y'all do when they had come again. I already told her that's below.

Well, we're going to take a look at judgement today. That's the theme and sometimes when we take a look at judgment, we think only of condemnation in the struggles, but there are two parts to that and God offers both of them. And if you remembered from our reading and Deuteronomy, he offered them goodness and grace and mercy if they would just do what God had called him to do. The people of Israel work would be find a good judgment on their lives. But if they chose to not do I did call them to do to do their go their own way. He said they would be condemned and destruction would come to their lives. And God shows us this picture throughout scripture. We're going to take a look at one episode today the whole idea of the flood and it's a picture that God has given to us that shows us that if we don't obey if we don't do the things that he has called us to do that. There is destruction on the way. But if we do the things he's called us to do there is a blessing Eternal blessing from him. He showed us again in several other episodes all along the way and of course Christ presented those episodes to us and then we are awaiting a final judgment on that but there is a good part and a bad part to each and every one of those judgments and we'll take a little bit of a look to that at that today. We're going to be in Deuteronomy chapter 6 so way back to the front of the Bible and Will be looking through them. I'm sorry Genesis chapter 6. Sorry. I'll get it together. Thank you my dear wife.

Okay, well read the first three verses and we'll take a look at the kind of episode where guy has these choices to make and it really reveals to us. You know, the whole idea of God's desire for us to walk with him or not. Genesis 6 1 2 3 when human beings began to increase and number on the earth and daughters were born to them the sons of God saw that the daughters of humans were beautiful and they married any of them. They chose then the Lord said my spirit will not contend humans forever for they are mortal their days will be a hundred and twenty years.

You know God. Desire to to bless Mankind and that we see even from all of life on Earth and we see from the very beginning in Genesis chapter 1 that his Blessing is poured out on man and animals if they will just do what he says to do in the first thing he called animals and Mankind to do with spread throughout the earth covered up and he would bless them Genesis chapter 1 verses 22. It says talking to the sea creatures in the birds and then eventually animals that says God bless them and said one increasing number and fill the waters in the Seas then let the birds increase on the Earth. And finally gets down to verse 28 and he says God called on man to do the same but also the rule over the other living creatures. So God put man in charge and that he was supposed to rule over these creatures taking care of Gods. Kingdom Forum that was their job that was our job there was given given to us in the beginning to take care of God's creation for him. And that's what mankind actually did they begin to increasing number of the animals increased number and they spread throughout the Earth, but there were problems that develop now remember last week. We took a look at Kane. remember Kane chose to sin against God God warned in and he still chose to turn against God. and even after he had the been condemned he still held that negative desire against God he wanted to do his own way life is own way and that was his division from and there was a division made there two separate them. Well, we didn't finish the story there. I will finish it now in Genesis chapter 4 Ben Kane goes his own way and it talks a little bit about his descendants and his life and where they went but then it says Adam made love verse verses 25 and 26 Adam made love to his wife again and she gave birth to a son is named himself saying God has granted me another child in place of Abel since Cain killed him Seth also had a son and he named diminish. At that time people began to call upon the name of the Lord. Okay, maybe you don't recognize it. But here is a division. There is the side of Cain site that shows to defy God to go and do their own way. And there's this other family line that bisects at that should chooses to follow God. They want to follow him they want to do his will and so they're moving on in the life and those two directions. Okay, now we'll come back and we'll kind of connected with what we read in chapter 6 remember in chapter 6 verses to I think it was it said that the sons of God saw the daughters of humans were beautiful and they married any of them that they chose lot of dissension about these things in scripture, but I don't think it changes really the fact that these are people some of the people are honoring God and some of the people are not and then the people that Dishonored God looked at the people that were honoring God they said oh they're beautiful and they took them. Add to in marriage. Okay, we have the same struggle today. I don't know if you've thought about it a little bit, but you know, we are called to come together. And to join together with those who love the Lord, okay, and that's husbands and wives God wants a family unified and its worship of the Living God and so were called as Believers in Christ. If we're looking to find a wife or a husband we ought to be looking in the church what happens when you don't do that? Well there becomes divisions that happened in life. And I think that that is essentially what happened back then that those who were of the cane line look at the people that were of the sethline and said over there great. Let's go out and marry them they chose to do that and it corrupted the line. And as we move on Down the Line, we see that corruption playing out and in the story of Noah, we find that gets down to Noah and says wow, they've all turned away from me. The only one that hasn't is Noah and his family.

Imagine how many people might have been on the earth there could have been Millions perhaps even billions of people on the Earth by that time. And literally every one of them and turned away from God but hate people. That's pretty amazing. When you think about it. If there had been such a division, it was created by those lines not to intermarry with people outside of Israel. He wants them to remain a people that are holy and true to him. And when were they married Outside the Lines they brought in those other people that worshipped other gods. and it disrupted the people and it changed and we see that as it went down the line it is real ultimately is torn away Deuteronomy 14:2 says for you are a people holy to the Lord your God out of all the peoples on the face of the Earth the Lord has chosen you treasured possession in other words people outside of Israel were to be able to look at those relizen say those are a different people because they worship a God and they follow the one who is true and holy and it should have led people to them but they chose to go outside of that And it led them astray. It led them astray and they began to worship other gods and eventually it came down to seven hundred years from this point and God decides to destroy.

Destroy the people of Israel drive them completely away from the land. Another destruction, it happens and as we take a look at this, there is a time frame that God looks at there is a point when people get to the point of God's judgment just having to come and we we see that here in this state but he shows us another stages. He was talking to Abraham about the land that he was he had promised to give you the said. I'm going to give you all this land but it's not going to happen. Now you're going to have to wait and in Genesis 15:6. He says in the 4th generation, your descendants will come back here for the sin of the amorites has not yet reached its full measure. Remember eventually the Israelites come back and they drive most of the amorites and the Canaanites in the other members left out. Their sin. Hadn't reached its full nap yet. And so there was still time for them to repent and return to the Lord just as in the days of Noah, there was a time they had to return to the Lord and the Lord said okay. These are the these are the options return to me or destruction is coming. Return to me or destruction is coming. Well, there's another little episode in here in verse for that causes the field agents to kind of scratching our heads and wonder a little bit. So let's read it Genesis 6:4 the Nephilim were on the earth in those days. And also afterwards when the sons of God went to the daughters of humans and had children by them. They were the heroes of old men of renown and there's all kinds of supposition about food these Nephilim were

There is a struggle in it, but I really believe that they were simply human beings that that were so corrupted by send that they had a not a different form but a different size it somehow they gained a huge size. I don't know if you read the article about the some of the bones that they found in Europe just recently bones of people that were well over 10 ft tall size was enormous. Well again that is there being a different race that was larger and I won you say that the earlier on that the people desired to take any woman they wanted while these were huge people and they were powerful. see that in Scripture

in several parts of scripture. We see them referred to when when The Israelites are getting ready to enter the land and they send out spies into the promised land and the spines come back and they talk about these people. It says in numbers 13:33. We saw the Nephilim there the descendants of anak came from the Nephilim. We seem like grasshoppers in our own eyes. We look at that. Look the same to them and other words, he's used to people that were there imagine somebody over 10 ft tall looking down at you and these were huge beings that were on the earth at that time. And enforce 1331 and says but the mailman up with him said we can attack those people they are stronger than we are. They recognize that these were very strong powerful Bee Gees. We noticed that if you remember back to the Battle of David and Goliath Goliath was nine and a half feet tall are almost Ten Feet Tall 99 in I think and so he was a huge being but he wasn't the biggest wasn't the biggest of them in. Deuteronomy 2:10. It says the E might used to live there a people's strong and numerous and is tall as the end of kites. So we have the anakites and the E mites that are tall Biggs Nephilim and in Deuteronomy, 3:11. It describes one of them. He's the one of the Kings and it's Says that he had a bed that was 13 ft long and 6 ft wide. imagine that it's a big guy have a bed like that.

The question I have is there a some kind of connection because you think back? Okay, what about dinosaurs? And then store the thing extra large beings. Is there any connection there? I don't know. Does it have any connection with the development of the SIM? and I don't know that either but those are big questions that. Will resolve when we get the glory. Anyway, they were a people that was were fully corrupted at least almost there because God gave me another hundred and twenty years to resolve that. Genesis 6 5 2 7 says these words saw how great the wickedness of the human race have become on the earth. And then every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart were only Evil all the time the Lord regretted that he had made human beings on the earth and his heart was deeply troubled. So the Lord said I will wipe from the face of the Earth the human race. I have created and with them the animals the birds and the creatures that move along the ground for I regret that I have made them. So even those creatures Did God had created?

That he had sent to cover the Earth and Mankind. That is great. Instead cover the Earth. He regrets that he made them.

That doesn't mean that he didn't know that this was coming. It's just that it in some ways. He was upset that that mankind was not willing to listen to him, you know. As I said last week. To defy the Living God is just simply foolishness for the heart of man think of pain referring back to him. He talked with God. He saw creation. His parents talked about meeting with God and talking about creation. He had everything going for him in terms of going the right way. and yet you chose to defy God and turn away from him and sometimes that's mankind Psalm 14:1 says the full says in his heart there is no God they corrupt their they are corrupt Deeds or vile there is no one who does good in other words you can simply see what God has done you could even talk to God and yet you will choose your own path and so mankind is called to choose a path God says if you don't choose the right way, there's judgement coming. There's judgement coming. He was grieved. He was grieved over is is the steps that doesn't mean that he didn't know they were coming and I realize that that was going to happen. It's just that he struggled with those issues same thing with the with Saul remember I was kidding saw back in first Samuel. Yeah. He did what was right at the beginning and then his life became more and more corrupt and eventually God says in 1st Samuel 15:11. I regret that I have made Saul King because he is turned away from me and is not carried out my instructions Samuel was angry and he cried out to the Lord all that night. In other words sent anointed Saul King and yet he was grieved that God and true. You chose to turn away from him and yet he realized that sin was there there is punishment know we need to do what he's called do or he will bring punishment on the earth. And as I said before he shows us a number of times in Scripture that that is the case. This is one of them. Remember the amorites were another one if it was another one remember as God said, you don't follow me and I'll bless you turn away from me and I'll destroy you what we get all the way to Ezekiel the Babylonian to finally come to Judah. They've hauled off a number of the people back to Judah. And this is what is equal rights about those who are stuck there. Is it our God says say this to them this is what the Sovereign Lord says Ezekiel 33:27 scuse me. This is what the Sovereign Lord says as surely as I live those who are left in the ruins will fall by the sword those out in the country. I will give to the wild animals to be devoured and those in strongholds and caves will die of the plague. Why? Because I chose to defy the Living God and turn away from him and do what they wanted to do. God wants us to do what he's called us to do. And the destruction is complete, you know, there's no turning back. Once the judgment is made. There's no turning back. You can't go to God and say okay. I repent and now I'm ready to serve you know, once life is done here. The judgment is over its complete Deuteronomy 28 63 says just as it pleased the Lord to make you prosper and increase in number, so it will please him to ruin and destroy you you will be uprooted from the land you are entering.

Israel was uprooted from the land. They were sent for 70 years into judgment. And finally they returned again and you'll get all the way to Christ from that point and the Judgment comes again. It is real and once again, they are cat and to wander the world for 2,000 years until 1948 and they're back in Israel once again to live. Call them to live. but every one of us have a choice there's not a soul on the face of the Earth that doesn't have a choice to make in this life you can't just say oh I'm just going to live my life the best I can and will be fine it isn't what God says he says there's one thing that we have to do to get a blessed judgment from the Living God and that's to know Jesus Christ as our Lord and our savior in to obey him Obey the Commandments he's made to us. You know that demonstrates our love for him. If we are committed to him, so there's a great judgment and we can look forward to that. If we trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. We look forward to the Judgment time because it'll be a blessing for it. But if we've never asked Jesus Christ to be our Lord and savior, there's no hope there's no blessing doesn't matter how great a life you live. You're still locked? You need to make the step and sell the call for every one of us has. Trust you God allow him to direct your life. For all eternity or he will pour out the blessings.
