Genesis 6:18
Genesis 6:18
English Standard Version Chapter 6
18 But nI will establish my covenant with you, and you shall come into the ark, you, your sons, your wife, and your sons’ wives with you.
God’s Provision to Noah’s Family
God’s Covenant includes the Whole Family
Noah was able to bring all his family with him in the ark. Amidst corrupt generation.
In the last days, the gospel of Matthew describes the kind of generation living before Jesus return to be as corrupt as with Noah’s time.
Reflection question:
Can we be like Noah, able to bring all our children in the ark?
How can we protect our children from being distructed with the computer games which would take away their interest from knowing God and His love for them.
I can imagine how Noah fought for his children, protecting them from the evil influences of his society in his time. I believe he has the same struggles from what most of our parents experience today
I can imagine how Noah would give time for them, playing with them telling them stories how God created the world in six days, etc just to teach them godly values.
How much time do you spend with your children winning over their confidence and instill to them the values of heaven?
What kind of values do you have? Remember what you’re doing is more likely they copy than what you say to them.
The challenge:
Many of our young people today leaving the church because of hypocrisy. They see a different parents at home and at church.
The message of Noah’s deliverance is very timely for us.
Deuteronomy 6:5-9
5 Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. 6 These words that I am giving you today are to be in your heart. 7 Repeat them to your children. Talk about them when you sit in your house and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. 8 Bind them as a sign on your hand and let them be a symbol on your forehead. 9 Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.
