Love for Our Kids
Love for Our Kids
Your children do not belong to you.
Your children belong to God.
4 Behold, all souls are mine; the soul of the father as well as the soul of the son is mine: the soul who sins shall die.
They are a gift/blessing given to you by God.
3 Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.
You have been entrusted with this gift from God so that you will raise them in the ways of the Lord. Proverbs 22:6
6 Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.
Love your children fiercely.
Love your children unconditionally.
Love your children through your actions.
2 shepherd the flock of God that is among you, exercising oversight, not under compulsion, but willingly, as God would have you; not for shameful gain, but eagerly; 3 not domineering over those in your charge, but being examples to the flock.
Love your children enough to discipline them. Hebrews 12:11
11 For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
Love your children by being an example for them. 1 Peter 5:2-3
6 Likewise, urge the younger men to be self-controlled. 7 Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity, dignity,
The time you have with your children is precious. The time you have with your children dwindles with each passing day. Don’t waste a single second of it. Take advantage of the time you have and love them with all you have and most importantly love them enough to teach them in the ways of the Lord.
