Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me:
And the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple,
Even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in:
Behold, he shall come, saith the Lord of hosts.
But who may abide the day of his coming?
And who shall stand when he appeareth?
For he is like a refiner’s fire, and like fullers’ soap:
And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver:
And he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver,
That they may offer unto the Lord an offering in righteousness.
Then shall the offering of Judah and Jerusalem be pleasant unto the Lord,
As in the days of old, and as in former years.
And I will come near to you to judgment;
And I will be a swift witness
Against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers,
And against those that oppress the hireling in his wages,
The widow, and the fatherless,
And that turn aside the stranger from his right, and fear not me,
Saith the Lord of hosts.
For I am the Lord, I change not;
Therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.
Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them.
Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the Lord of hosts.
But ye said, Wherein shall we return?
Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me.
But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee?
In tithes and offerings.
Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me,
Even this whole nation.
Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse,
That there may be meat in mine house,
And prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts,
If I will not open you the windows of heaven,
And pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes,
And he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground;
Neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts.
And all nations shall call you blessed:
For ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the Lord of hosts.

INTRODUCTION:
Tithing.
First Step in Giving...
Tithing is where we start when we get saved.
Then as we grow in the Lord
But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
As we grow in grace and in knowledge of the Lord, then we begin to give over and beyond our tithes.
THE DEFINITION OF THE TITHE
Somebody said, Everybody ought to tithe. Some sinners pay tithe, but all christian pay tithe if we truly got saved.
Well, what is the tithe?
Let me say first of all, it is giving what belongs to God Leviticus 27:30.
And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord’s: it is holy unto the Lord.
Now the definition of tithe is one-tenth of everything.
Everything because everything is God's.
One-tenth of all.
God said is mine not yours or mine.
THE COMMAND TO TITHE
Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse,
That there may be meat in mine house,
And prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts,
If I will not open you the windows of heaven,
And pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
"Bring ye all the tithes (that's a tenth of everything) into the storehouse."
The storehouse in our case is the Bible, it's the place of provision, it's the place where you get your spiritual food, that's God's storehouse.
Not Wal-mart
McDonalds
Not the Chevy or Ford dealership
Not the Mall
Richmon American Homes BUT THE HOUSE OF GOD
THE PURPOSE OF THE TITHE
The purpose of the tithe is to evangelize.
And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
THE MANNER OF THE TITHE
Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.
It's to be done consistently, every Sunday morning, the Lord's day, that's Sunday every Sunday morning.
THE PROMISE TO THE TITHER
And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
Here's the reason
And all nations shall call you blessed:
For ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the Lord of hosts.
"And all the nations shall call you blessed."
