Introduction: keep this short

Why don’t we give God the Praise honor and glory. I don’t believe he’s done in here. In fact, He’s just getting started!
I’d like to honor our Apostolic Crusaders FL District Youth President, Brother Jeffery McBrayer; The ALJC District Board; and the host pastor for his hospitality, Pastor Hill.
Thank you for the wonderful room accommodations and hospitality. Kasey and I greatly appreciate it.

Scripture Text

Isaiah 6:8 NRSV
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I; send me!”
Isa 6:8
The last phrase of the verse interpreted is translated in the latin - ecce ego sum mitte me, “Here Am I; Send Me”
With the help of the Lord, I’d like to preach to the our Southern Section Crusaders, Here I Am Lord; Send Me!
I wonder if anyone in this house could lift their hands and shout with a voice of triumph. Somebody shout Here I am Lord, send me!!!!

Isaiah - Transformed by the Fire

Call Narrative Description -

Isaiah 6 is known throughout the Old Testament as the “Call Narrative,” in which, similar to Moses, many prophets answered the call of God. Isaiah was transported out of his reality. Everything normal became vague to him as he found himself experiencing a vision that hosted: smoke, seraphims, and the Lord himself.
Isaiah asked the same question Moses did, “who am I that the Lord would choose me?”
Who am I that I should be here
Somewhere in between “ Woe is me! “ and a coal from Yahweh’s eternal altar touching his lips the Prophet’s speech changed to “Here Am I; Send me.”

God is Calling Those Here Today

Today, I believe there are some young people that are going to experience a “Call Narrative” of their own.
Some of you have said who am I that the Lord will choose me?
Maybe you’ve said my past is to stained with sin
Or even worse, your saying I don’t know the right people. I don’t come from the right family.
Regardless of your background, the fire from the altar needs to touch your mouth!

2 And suddenly there came da sound from heaven eas of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. 3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of ffire, and it sat upon each of them. 4 And gthey were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began hto speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Acts 2:2-4
I want you to notice here that those in the upper room were in one place. However, they weren’t just together, they were in unity!
Could we get unified for an altar experience tonight
Could both the young and the old draw near to the altar so that we may experience the miraculous in the here and now!

No Background is to Inadequate for God

So many times, we come to church as a requirement failing to realize the potential we have in God’s Kingdom.
We won’t cultivate talent because we don’t think we’re good enough
Our family is broken and in reality we are too
Maybe you’ve lost your father
Maybe you’ve lost your mother
Maybe your family just went through a divorce
No matter, God is a redeemer! He’s paid the price at the cross, so you could inherit a royal crown within His Kingdom!
I’d like to call your attention to the book of Ruth -
“Here we see a little moabite woman. A nothing in the Nation of Israel. Yet, the story tells us of one thing…she was faithful. You see, Naomi, Ruth’s mother-in-law from Israel, said that Elimelech’s wives could go back to Moab. Naomi had no other sons to offer Ruth, but Ruth desired to remain faithful to Naomi and her God. Her husbands God had became her Lord.
Maybe you’ve come from a home that doesn’t know God
Maybe you’ve encountered God, but need a refilling of the Holy Ghost; tonight you can make the God of Naomi your God
A insignificant Moabite meant more to God than what Israel could have imagined at that very moment.
This moabite was in the lineage of David
The Davidic monarchy gave birth to the messianic prophecy:

14  Therefore the Lord himself shall give you pwa sign;

xBehold, ya virgin shall conceive, and bear za son,

And ||shall call his name aImmanuel.

Isa 7:14
Recall your childhood

God’s Calling you! It’s Time to Put on the Ephod!

Before the kings of Israel, there were priests that led the nation. Scholars identify that Moses was seen as the great prophet and a source of authority within Israel. God was the one to speak to Moses on the vestaments or garments that a priest should wear.

33 And beneath upon the ||hem of it thou shalt make pomegranates of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, round about the hem thereof; and bells of gold between them round about: 34 A golden bell and a pomegranate, a golden bell and a pomegranate, upon the hem of the robe round about. 35 dAnd it shall be upon Aaron to minister: and his sound shall be heard when he goeth in unto the holy place before the LORD, and when he cometh out, that he die not

Exod 28:33-35
It was the sound of ministry that said “the priest is not dead”
Today God is calling us to ministry
A BELL AND A POMEGRANATE
A GIFT AND A FRUIT; A GIFT AND A FRUIT
Call me old fashioned, but I believe God equips those he calls - if you are a young lady or man here tonight. God’s calling you!

Conclusion: Let us Receive the Fire From God’s Altar!

Tonight as our musicians come, I wonder if there is anyone who would say:
“Here I Am, Lord; Send Me”
Send me to my school
Send me to my friends
Send me to my workplace
Send me to the nations
Send me to pastor, evangelize, and teach!
Send me to lead in worship
“God I may not be adequate or enough, but your Spirit is!” Fill me with your holy fire that empowers me to live for you and follow after you will!
Lord I will GO!
