Psalm 63:1-11 (KJV) 1

O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; 2 To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary. 3 Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee. 4 Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name. 5 My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips: 6 When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches. 7 Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice. 8 My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me. 9 But those that seek my soul, to destroy it, shall go into the lower parts of the earth. 10 They shall fall by the sword: they shall be a portion for foxes. 11 But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that sweareth by him shall glory: but the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped.

A WORD IN YOUR DESERT PLACE...

Look at your neighbor and tell them I need a word when I’m in the DESERT PLACE.

FB, the DESERT PLACE has many shapes, sizes and forms.

The DESERT PLACE is a place of dispect and desperation.

The DESERT PLACE is the uncertainty of the unknown. The wilderness,

The DESERT PLACE is the paralyzing fear of rejection. The wilderness,

The DESERT PLACE is the suffocating compression of sorrow. The wilderness,

The DESERT PLACE is the morning of shame.

The DESERT PLACE is the lost of innocence.

The DESERT PLACE is a place of defeated dreams, destroys goals, demolished determination.

The DESERT PLACE Is an emotion hardship, financial frustration, family failures, lost hopes, mental anguish, shut-up ambitions, and unbearable burdens. DESERT PLACE.

And you have to be careful and watch this Psalm 63. I got good news for somebody in the house today. Amen that there is a word for those in DESERT PLACE .

As you notice your bible readers David has already lived in the lap of luxury. David had been known for many great success and great victories but now David finds himself in the wilderness. David had been forced to evacuate Jerusalem because his son Apsolan, has led a revalt, he stolen the hearts of the people but watch this

David went to the Mt. of Olive weeping with his head covered and his feet bear. David is going to the DESERT PLACE and and whild he’s goes to the DESERT PLACE Semeia, is cussing and throwing stones. So now David and those who are with him besides weary in the wilderness but watch what happens. The become hungry, weary and thirsty, in the wilderness but David says in order for me to make it through my wilderness, my wild place I got a to

first of all, learn how to search for God.

Look at somebody and tell them you got to search for God. You got to search for God by look what David says in Psalm 63.

O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;

And so, I look for you in the sanctuary watch this to see your power and your glory. Its awesome FB, because David had a spiritual experience in DESERT PLACE. David Survived the DESERT PLACE that why you can’t throw in the towel now, give up now, call it quit now. Because FB, you must realize and recognize you can make it too. David survived THE DESERT PLACE , surly you can as a company of Baptized believers surly you can survive the wilderness. See, we must not sentence ourselves to final failure. I know the wilderness is not indispensable, but the truth of the matter is the wilderness can be subdued and tamed.

I see now you don’t know where to shout. So CALCALMHY. He says, in verse 2.

2 To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary

In other words, you got to search for God. He says because His power and glory transcend in the DESERT PLACE . Yall still sleep this morning, but our place watch this, our place is not as important as His person.

Come on. Come on.

You sleep, Let me try it again. David says, God has not relocated, God is still omnipresent. David says in Psalm 139 7-10.

Psalm 139:7 (KJV) 7 Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?

Psalm 139:8 (KJV) 8 If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.

Psalm 139:9 (KJV) 9 If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;

Psalm 139:10 (KJV) 10 Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.

See I know why yall aint shouting. Because you haven’t realized it’s not where you are, but its whose you are.

FB, its not where you are its whose you are. Naw that the wrong neighbor, look at your somebody who come to have church and tell the it not where you are its whose you are.

Because you can be in a desert and still have His divinity.

He says you can be in the fire and still know God’s faithfulness.

He says you can be in grief and still have God glory.

You can be loneliness and still find God Love.

You can be morning and still know God mercy.

You can be in a storm and still know God strength.

You can be in a financial struggle and still know His ability to supply your every need.

You can be in tribulation and still have His trustworthiness.

You can be in the valley and still know He has the victory.

You can be in the wilderness and still have God wisdom.

All because it’s not where you are but who you are. You miss your shout.

David was in the DESERT PLACE , here come the shout. Even though David was in the DESERT PLACE he knew he belonged to God.

Some of yall looking kind of dry this morning LIKE YOU ARE IN A DESERT PLACE you mightiest well get on the program because you and I belong to God.

That why I shout like I do.

That why I praise like I do.

That why I holla like I do.

Because I belong to God.

And if I just had 5 of yall who aint ashamed to just testify that I belong to God, we will tear FB up. I’m here this moring not because I’m so good. Not because I dotted every I. Not because I crossed every T. Not because I have a halo over my head. No because everything came out of my mouth was hallelujah. I done said some stuff. I done tell some folk where they can go and how long to stay but in spite of it al I’ve been through I can testify I’m here this morning because I belong to God.

You need to come to grips with life and how life operate and realize that

I messed up, but I still belong to God.

Aint done everything right but I belong to God.

I said some crazy stuff yesterday but I’m praising Him because I belong to God.

I’m going through a rough season right now, but I stand to testify that I still belong to God.

PAUSE!!!

HE says, O God, thou art my God; love it because He did not focus on the place, the problem, the pain, but he focused of God. Yall still don’t want to get happy. The reason why some of yall ain’t shouting is because you focused on what you are going through, you focused on how you gonna make it past 2020. You worried because you don’t have a lot of money on you pocket.

David says I don’t care what I’m going through, I got to keep my focus on God. FB, do me a favor. Keep you mind on God. Choir keep your focus on God. Deacons, Ushers, Deaconess, Ministers, Hospitality, FB, whatever you do in life don’t lose focus on God.

It aint about, cars, cash, clothes, but it’s all about Jesus. Look at somebody and tell them it’s all about Jesus. That’s why you got to focus on him. Wherever your DESERT PLACE takes you FB, keep you focus on God.

He says you must Search for God, in your DESERT PLACE.

Notice in verse 1 Davis said early will I seek thee: But watch verse 2. I have seen thee in the sanctuary.

I knew you wasn’t gonna catch it so let me try it again.

Wait a minute. Did you wake up early this moring? Can you tell me where are you right now? I look like you are present in the sanctuary. He says, early will I seek thee, and I have seen thee in the sanctuary. I knew you was gonna miss it so let me help you.

David said, the experience in the sanctuary equipped me for whatever the DESERT PLACE had to throw at me.

David said, the experience in the sanctuary Equip me for whatever going on in the DESERT PLACE .

See, a lot of yall aint understood yet see some of the stuff you had to deal with out there is because you got some strength in the sanctuary. Ok, you still aint feeling me yet. I need about 5 of yall who aint ashamed and say God I thank you for giving me strength in here (POINT FINGER) so I can deal with all the hell our there. (POINT FINGER). Yall aint talking to be up in here up in here. I need one somebody who can thank God that you got strength in here so you can deal with those corrupt co-workers, to deal with that nasty attitude boss I got to deal with. I thank God for the strength I got in here because it equipped me for whatever I had to deal with out there.

Pause!!!

He says, this is a word when you get I the DESERT PLACE. You don’t get in the DESERT PLACE and stop shouting. When you get in the DESERT PLACE, that’s when you ought to start shouting, and doing your dance. He says, when you get there if you don’t think God will you….Go find God. He says I searched for God.

Not Only

1st Point: You have to Search for God

2nd Point: You have to have Satisfaction with God

You missed it.

3 Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee. 4 Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name. 5 My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips:

David said we are searching for God leads to satisfaction with God. It’s awesome because He express a thirst and longing for God, while in the DESERT PLACE. Fb, you will always be dead, dull, and dry, if you don’t thirst and long for Him. You are a shameful child of God if the only time you open your Bible is on Sunday moring. What God is calling for is some thirsty people. He is looking for folk who aint just gonna come to church on

1st Sunday because you have to usher.

2nd Sunday because you on devotion.

3rd Sunday because you have to sing.

4th Sunday because its communion.

And if you get enough Holy Ghost in you come on 5th Sunday.

In other words, you only come when you on the top shelf. God is looking for some people Like Adam Simon, that whenever these doors open, I might need to get something from God. It’s something that He have to give to me. And I just need about 5 of yall who thirsty enough and longing for God that says

Lord,

I can’t live without you

I can’t do it without you

I can’t breathe without you.

I can’t walk without you

I can’t worship without you

Lord, I need you like never before.

I love it because once David recognize the power and the glory of God He could be satisfied with God.

He says,

3. Because thy lovingkindness is better than life.

I love this word because lovingkindness because in the Hebrew terms it means steadfast love and it’s an act of mercy and kindness. It means not a matter of obligation or log but it’s a matter of devotion and affection.

Although David is in DESERT PLACE, he is relieved of tension and frustration of the wilderness. David says, thy lovingkindness is better than life. David is literally saying, I have life, but at the on the same page I have no life without God. David is simply saying Life has no meaning, direction, without God. Yes, I’m in the DESERT PLACE but God love, and kindness continues to flow in his direction even though you are in the wilderness.

Now David must express his praise to God even in the DESERT PLACE. FB, your real praise doesn’t come form you being in the sun light. See your real praise comes form a place where you can’t see your way out of it. Your real praise does not come from your bank account is looking well but your real praise comes from a place where you say Lord, if you don’t pay this bill it won’t get paid. I know its somebody in this house that have been there before, amen you been in your DESERT PLACE and you said I have tried everybody and everything, but I found a real praise in my deliverance.

Watch the text. He says even in DESERT PLACE, you got to learn how to get happy. I love this writer because the writer says I think myself happy. Every now and then you aint got a praise team, you ant got no musician, so every now and them while you are in the DESERT PLACE, you got to think yourself happy. See that why you ought to give God praise and give God glory because you just didn’t learn how to praise Him when everything was going well but you learn how to praise him even when you couldn’t see your way out.

This is very strange because David says thy lovingkindness is better than life. It’s awesome because David is in the DESERT PLACE. Church repeat after me, The DESERT PLACE. That was only half of the church lets try it again. The DESERT PLACE. Watch this, David has every apparent reason to be bitter, sad, despondency, depressed, sorrowful, but you find just the opposite instead of being sad, David has joy. I don’t know if you know it or not, but there is a difference joy and happiness. Some of yall are happy today because things are happening. But when you got Joy, Joy comes from another place.

Instead of David being depressed, bitter, sad, sorrowful, He finds a praise. Now I’m just looking. Now all yall looking good today. I know your feel-good today and I know you feel like you on top of the world. And some of you feel like the world is on top of you. God need somebody who not ashamed or afraid to just think about the stuff you been through but just think about the stuff He brought you out of.

Naw, naw, naw, you aint thought yet, because other stuff that took other folk out you still here. Ok, you aint feeling me yet. I need you to just think about it for a moment and just start giving God praise right in your wilderness. Ok, let me show you, He says, I’m thirsty, I’m longing for you, he knows he will be satisfied with morrow fatness but watch this…

He says, I’m thirsty and longing for you. He says,

5 My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness;

He says the Lord will prepare a table. The Lord will satisfy me. He is not governed by my circumstance and my conditions. He not dominated by his position or by his place because David recognize that the loving kindness of God will cause

your lips to praise him,

you mouth to bless Him,

your hands to be lifted up,

your heart to rejoice,

your mind to relax,

and your peace to return.

In other words, David can really sing this song, any way you bless me I’ll be satisfied. Lord, anyway you bless me I’ll be satisfied. I don’t know when you gonna do it, where you gonna do it, how you gonna do it, but any way you wanna bless me, I’ll be satisfied.

I be satisfied because I know power and glory and loving kindness of God. Alright, that did’nt some of yall. Let me try it from this angle.

When you need a word in the DESERT PLACE. You’ll learn.

NOT ONLY:

1st: You have to search for God. But whenever you search for God, you will have

2nd: You have satisfaction with, God But you’ll really be shouting because

3rd: You have the Safety of God.

Yes, you missed it in the text.

9 But those that seek my soul, to destroy it, shall go into the lower parts of the earth. 10 They shall fall by the sword: they shall be a portion for foxes. 11 But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that sweareth by him shall glory: but the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped

You aint got to argue with a liar. He says because they will be stopped. Watch this. Only not does David speaks to his enemies. He searches for God. He satisfied with God. He recalls a story of God in his life. And now he expresses his safety and security in God.

David say my enemies want to take my life. They way me dead, but its too late now. See you now gonna help me. You gonna leave me by myself. He says it’s too late now because I have discovered something greater than life. David says what’s in me will keep me when what’s around me trying to kill me. David is not ruffles, not out for revenge, trying not to get back at them. David is still loving and forgiving, Fb you got to watch this Semei cussing and throwing stones at him and Jesus says but I say unto you Love you enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that spitefully use you and persecute you David said my enemies are so crazy that gonna go through everything and try to kill me but they don’t recognize when they trying to kill me they end up killing themselves

That’s too churchy for yall. Let me see if I can to the country for yall. Be careful for the ditch you are digging. Because the one you are digging for me you just may full in it yourself. Yall know how yall be arguing with your enemies and fussing with folk. what you doing all that for you just wasting your time when you know who has your back, amen who on your side who don’t have to worry about Donald Trump, Eddie Rispone, You ain’t got to worry about who in the White, Black, Green, house. Or in your house.

David says,

10 They shall fall by the sword: they shall be a portion for foxes.

Another translation says Jackals. I like it because there are scavengers animals. They consume what ben left by larger animals. In other words when your enemies try to take you out. He says don’t worry because there will be nothing left of your enemies. You keep missing your shout. See you hide behind Facebook. Snap Chat. Instagram. You send messages to folk but don’t call their name. You brave on the book but you ain’t bold in front of nobody. IJS.

What you worried about your enemies for because there will be nothing left of your enemies. I don’t mind you talking about me. I don’t mind you saying anything about me. See this where you mist your shout, is that they are destroyed not because David wishes them to be destroyed. The enemies are destroyed because they are going against David, while attacking the Lord anointing.

So, in other words they thought they were fighting against David, but they were really fighting against God. Some people think they are fighting you, when infact they not fighting you they are fighting God.

Close!!! Sike!! That’s why it’s best for you, to kept you mouth closed. They why its best for you if you aint got nothing good to say about FB, or its members, close your mouth. In fact, no body better not come to me taking about my members I don’t how wrong they are God blessed me with them. Word to the wise, I aint forgot how to fight, fuss and cuss. I think GOD for deliverance. If you ain’t got nothing good to say about your pastor just leave it alone because they person your talking to come tell me anyway, and just come right on up in here a smile at you like I don’t even know

Yall quiet, don’t worry I aint gonna call you out. What you have to realize is that you must be careful frying to hold up the progress of the church, because you might not be fighting against me you are fighting against God. And anytime you fight against God you gonna lose. I know you had your own plans when the seat was vacant, but you cannot go against God.

Watch what happen, for the first time. In the Psalm David identify himself as a king. Hold up. He’s in the DESERT PLACE he’s been forced to evacuate the city and be with thrown but HE still the king. Lord I wish yall came to church on the fast bus today. Notice, his relationship with God, was never faulty. He placed in God kingdom. David remember the covenant he made in

2 Samuel 7:12-17 (KJV)

Read it when you get time

David says I know there is a contrast of truth

11 But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that sweareth by him shall glory: but the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped.

David said I’m not worried about the outcome. I’m not worried about whatso in on around me. Just tell you neighbor I aint worried about the outcome. I’m not worried bout what’s going on around me. And I’m not worried about anything because I know the power and the glory of the Lord. David simply tell us while you in the wilderness you need to learn how to trust Gods word. Amen, just trust God word.

It may not look like you want it to look. It may not feel like you want it to feel. But you need to learn how to trust God word.

But David says, you got to learn how to trust God word.

David says, you need, a word in your DESERT PLACE .

you need a message, in your misery.

you need a text, in your trials.

u a thirst, in your valley.

you need a scripture, in your struggles.

you need a command, in your calamities

you need a revelation, in your situation

you need declaration, in despair

you need the word of God to direct you

you need the word of God to correct you

you need the word of God to comfort you

you need the word to strengthen you

Shake your neighbor, had and tell then I thank God this morning because I have the safety of God.

I’m not here this morning, because I’ve been so good.

But I can testify, all night and all-day angles keep watching over me.

I’m praising raising Him this morning, because I got the safety of God.

I may not can afford a 24-hour security, but I give Him praise today because I God His protection.

You ought to thank God for His safety.

I’m reminded of a story, by Dr. Frank Ray.

He was invited to preach, and it had a lot of people on program to preach. They had… Joyce Myers. Tony Evans. TD Jakes. And all of them flew in on their private Jet. All of them had their armor barrier. And Dr. Ray said, when I got to the airport. I exit the plane. Got in the Limousine. The driver ask is that all with you. He said, no I got some more with me. He said well, where you armor barriers at? He replied they are here you just can’t see them.

He said,

I got Goodness on my right side.

I got Mercy on my left side.

I got God in front of me.

Jesus behind me.

I got the Holy Ghost is with in me.

And that all I need.

All I’m trying to tell you is that when you got God safety.

You don’t need an alarm.

You don’t need burglar bars.

I got Goodness on my right side.

I got Mercy on my left side.

I got Father in front of me.

Jesus behind me.

I got the Holy Ghost is with in me.

And that all I need.

FB, Excuse me

If I praise Him too loud.

If I get to happy.

If I worship Him like I’m crazy

But you don’t know all the hell I been through

I am a survivor

I been through some rough stuff.

I though my children weren’t gonna make it.

I thought my family wasn’t gonna make it.

I though my marriage wasn’t gonna make it

.

But look at us Today.

I can testify if it had not been for the Lord on my side.

Tell me, where would I be.

While you’re in the wilderness

You got God safety

You got God security

When you are driving down 49 South. 10 West. 20 East. 1 South. Cars swerving, driving crazy. But here you are still alive.

Sick and afflicted

High Blood Pressure

Diabetes

Heart Problems

Sickle Cell

But look at you,

You still here.

I need somebody who been sick before. Broke before.

I don’t know what you are going through. I don’t know what you are dealing with. But I got a word for you.

Be not Dismayed

Whatever the tide is

God will take care of you

Beneath His wings, Love abides.

God will take care of you.

I got one question.

Wont He do it.

Take care of you

Take care of you

Make you enemies your footstool

Wont He. Wont He. Wont He.

Is there anybody here feel like I feel?

If you aint ashamed just to your feet

Help me testify.

I got a word in my wilderness

I’m gonna hold on

I’m gonna keep the faith

I’m gonna keep on running

I’m gonna keep on praising

I can’t give up now

I’ve come too far, from where I started from

When I think about His goodness

And all He’s done for me

My good days outweigh my bad days

So, I… I… I... Wont complains

God has been good to me.

He put running in my feet.

Clapping in my hands

Joy in my heart

All you got to do is sit down.

And have a little talk with Jesus

Tell Him about all your problems.

When you need a word in the Wilderness. You’ll learn.
