Those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went.
Philip went down to a city in Samaria and proclaimed the Messiah there.
When the crowds heard Philip and saw the signs he performed, they all paid close attention to what he said.
For with shrieks, impure spirits came out of many, and many who were paralyzed or lame were healed.
So there was great joy in that city.

1 扫罗也赞同处死他。从那一天开始，耶路撒冷的教会遭受到大迫害，除了使徒以外，众门徒都分散在犹太和撒玛利亚各处。
2 有些虔诚的人把司提反埋葬了，为他大大哀哭。
3 扫罗却残害教会，挨家挨户地进去，拉着男女关在监里。
4 那些分散的人往各地去传福音的道。
5 腓利下撒玛利亚城去，向当地人宣讲基督。
6 众人都聚精会神，同心合意地听腓利所说的话，一边听他的话，一边看他所行的神迹。
7 因为有许多人被污灵附着，那些污灵大声呼叫，从他们身上出来；还有许多瘫痪的、瘸腿的都得了医治。
8 那城里，有极大的喜乐。
9 有一个人名叫西门，向来在那城里行邪术，自命为大人物，使撒玛利亚的居民惊奇。
10 所有的人，从小到大都听从他，说：“这个人就是上帝的能力，那称为大能者的。”
11 他们听从他，因他很久以来用邪术使他们惊奇。
12 当他们信了腓利所传上帝国的福音和耶稣基督的名，连男带女都受了洗。
13 西门自己也信了；既受了洗，就常与腓利在一处，看见他所行的神迹和大异能，就觉得很惊奇。
14 在耶路撒冷的使徒听见撒玛利亚人领受了上帝的道，就打发彼得和约翰到他们那里去。
15 两个人下去，就为他们祷告，要让他们领受圣灵，
16 因为圣灵还没有降在他们任何一个人身上，他们只奉主耶稣的名受了洗。
17 于是使徒按手在他们头上，他们就领受了圣灵。
18 西门看见使徒一按手，就有圣灵赐下，就拿钱给使徒，
19 说：“请把这权柄也给我，使我手按着谁，谁就可以领受圣灵。”
20 彼得对他说：“你的银子和你一同灭亡吧！因为你想上帝的恩赐是可以用钱买的。
21 你在这道上无份无关；因为你在上帝面前心怀不正。
22 你要为你这样的恶而悔改，祈求主，或者你心里的意念可得赦免。
23 我看出你正在苦胆之中，被不义捆绑着。”
24 西门回答说：“请你们为我求主，使你们所说的，没有一样临到我身上。”
25 使徒既作了见证，并且宣讲了主的道，就回耶路撒冷去，一路在撒玛利亚好些村庄传扬福音。
26 有主的一个使者对腓利说：“起来！向南走，往那从耶路撒冷下迦萨的路上去。”那路是旷野。
27 腓利就起身去了。不料，有一个埃塞俄比亚人，是个有大权的太监，在埃塞俄比亚女王甘大基的手下总管银库，他上耶路撒冷去礼拜。
28 回程中，他坐在车上，正念着以赛亚先知的书，
29 圣灵对腓利说：“你去！靠近那车走。”
30 腓利就跑到太监那里，听见他正在念以赛亚先知的书，就说：“你明白你所念的吗？”
31 他说：“没有人指教我，怎能明白呢？”于是他请腓利上车，与他同坐。
32 他所念的那段经文是这样： “他像羊被牵去宰杀， 又像羔羊在剪毛的人手下无声， 他也是这样不开口。
33 他卑微的时候，得不到公义的审判， 谁能述说他的身世？ 因为他的生命从地上被夺去。”
34 太监回答腓利说：“请问，先知说这话是指谁，是指自己，还是指别人呢？”
35 腓利就开口，从这段经文开始，对他传讲耶稣的福音。
36 二人正沿路往前走，到了有水的地方，太监说：“看哪！这里有水，有什么能阻止我受洗呢？”
38 于是他吩咐把车停下来，腓利和太监二人一同下到水里，腓利就给他施洗。
39 他们从水里上来，主的灵把腓利提了去，太监再也看不见他了，就欢欢喜喜地上路。
40 后来有人在亚锁都遇见腓利；他走遍那地方，在各城宣扬福音，一直到凯撒利亚。
1 扫罗不断用威吓凶悍的口气向主的门徒说话。他去见大祭司，
2 要求发信给大马士革的各会堂，若是找着信奉这道的人，无论男女，都准他捆绑带到耶路撒冷。
3 扫罗在途中，将到大马士革的时候，忽然有一道光从天上下来，四面照射着他，
4 他就仆倒在地，听见有声音对他说：“扫罗！扫罗！你为什么迫害我？”
5 他说：“主啊！你是谁？”主说：“我就是你所迫害的耶稣。
6 起来！进城去，你应该做的事，必有人告诉你。”
7 同行的人站在那里，说不出话来，因为他们听见声音，却看不见人。
8 扫罗从地上起来，睁开眼睛，竟不能看见什么。有人拉他的手，领他进了大马士革。
9 他三天什么都看不见，也不吃也不喝。
10 那时，在大马士革有一个门徒，名叫亚拿尼亚。主在异象中对他说：“亚拿尼亚！”他说：“主啊，我在这里。”
11 主对他说：“起来！往那叫直街的路去，在犹大的家里，去找一个大数人，名叫扫罗；他正在祷告，
12 在异象中看见了一个人，名叫亚拿尼亚，进来为他按手，让他能再看得见。”
13 亚拿尼亚回答：“主啊，我听见许多人讲到这个人，说他怎样在耶路撒冷多多苦待你的圣徒，
14 并且他在这里有从祭司长得来的权柄，要捆绑一切求告你名的人。”
15 主对他说：“你只管去。他是我所拣选的器皿，要在外邦人、君王和以色列人面前宣扬我的名。
16 我也要指示他，为我的名必须受许多的苦难。”
17 亚拿尼亚就去了，进入那家，把手按在扫罗身上，说：“扫罗弟兄，在你来的路上向你显现的主，就是耶稣，打发我来，叫你能再看得见，又被圣灵充满。”
18 扫罗的眼睛上立刻好像有鳞一般的东西掉下来，他就能再看得见，于是他起来，受了洗，
19 吃过饭体力就恢复了。 扫罗和大马士革的门徒一起住了些日子，
20 立刻在各会堂里传扬耶稣，说他是上帝的儿子。
21 凡听见的人都很惊奇，说：“在耶路撒冷残害求告这名的不就是这个人吗？他不是到这里来要捆绑他们，带到祭司长那里去吗？”
22 但扫罗越发有能力，驳倒住在大马士革的犹太人，证明耶稣是基督。
1 And Saul approved of their killing him. On that day a great persecution broke out against the church in Jerusalem, and all except the apostles were scattered throughout Judea and Samaria.
2 Godly men buried Stephen and mourned deeply for him.
3 But Saul began to destroy the church. Going from house to house, he dragged off both men and women and put them in prison.
4 Those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went.
5 Philip went down to a city in Samaria and proclaimed the Messiah there.
6 When the crowds heard Philip and saw the signs he performed, they all paid close attention to what he said.
7 For with shrieks, impure spirits came out of many, and many who were paralyzed or lame were healed.
8 So there was great joy in that city.
9 Now for some time a man named Simon had practiced sorcery in the city and amazed all the people of Samaria. He boasted that he was someone great,
10 and all the people, both high and low, gave him their attention and exclaimed, “This man is rightly called the Great Power of God.”
11 They followed him because he had amazed them for a long time with his sorcery.
12 But when they believed Philip as he proclaimed the good news of the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.
13 Simon himself believed and was baptized. And he followed Philip everywhere, astonished by the great signs and miracles he saw.
14 When the apostles in Jerusalem heard that Samaria had accepted the word of God, they sent Peter and John to Samaria.
15 When they arrived, they prayed for the new believers there that they might receive the Holy Spirit,
16 because the Holy Spirit had not yet come on any of them; they had simply been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
17 Then Peter and John placed their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.
18 When Simon saw that the Spirit was given at the laying on of the apostles’ hands, he offered them money
19 and said, “Give me also this ability so that everyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the Holy Spirit.”
20 Peter answered: “May your money perish with you, because you thought you could buy the gift of God with money!
21 You have no part or share in this ministry, because your heart is not right before God.
22 Repent of this wickedness and pray to the Lord in the hope that he may forgive you for having such a thought in your heart.
23 For I see that you are full of bitterness and captive to sin.”
24 Then Simon answered, “Pray to the Lord for me so that nothing you have said may happen to me.”
25 After they had further proclaimed the word of the Lord and testified about Jesus, Peter and John returned to Jerusalem, preaching the gospel in many Samaritan villages.
26 Now an angel of the Lord said to Philip, “Go south to the road—the desert road—that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.”
27 So he started out, and on his way he met an Ethiopian eunuch, an important official in charge of all the treasury of the Kandake (which means “queen of the Ethiopians”). This man had gone to Jerusalem to worship,
28 and on his way home was sitting in his chariot reading the Book of Isaiah the prophet.
29 The Spirit told Philip, “Go to that chariot and stay near it.”
30 Then Philip ran up to the chariot and heard the man reading Isaiah the prophet. “Do you understand what you are reading?” Philip asked.
31 “How can I,” he said, “unless someone explains it to me?” So he invited Philip to come up and sit with him.
32 This is the passage of Scripture the eunuch was reading: “He was led like a sheep to the slaughter, and as a lamb before its shearer is silent, so he did not open his mouth.
33 In his humiliation he was deprived of justice. Who can speak of his descendants? For his life was taken from the earth.”
34 The eunuch asked Philip, “Tell me, please, who is the prophet talking about, himself or someone else?”
35 Then Philip began with that very passage of Scripture and told him the good news about Jesus.
36 As they traveled along the road, they came to some water and the eunuch said, “Look, here is water. What can stand in the way of my being baptized?”
37
38 And he gave orders to stop the chariot. Then both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water and Philip baptized him.
39 When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord suddenly took Philip away, and the eunuch did not see him again, but went on his way rejoicing.
40 Philip, however, appeared at Azotus and traveled about, preaching the gospel in all the towns until he reached Caesarea.
1 Meanwhile, Saul was still breathing out murderous threats against the Lord’s disciples. He went to the high priest
2 and asked him for letters to the synagogues in Damascus, so that if he found any there who belonged to the Way, whether men or women, he might take them as prisoners to Jerusalem.
3 As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him.
4 He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?”
5 “Who are you, Lord?” Saul asked. “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,” he replied.
6 “Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”
7 The men traveling with Saul stood there speechless; they heard the sound but did not see anyone.
8 Saul got up from the ground, but when he opened his eyes he could see nothing. So they led him by the hand into Damascus.
9 For three days he was blind, and did not eat or drink anything.
10 In Damascus there was a disciple named Ananias. The Lord called to him in a vision, “Ananias!” “Yes, Lord,” he answered.
11 The Lord told him, “Go to the house of Judas on Straight Street and ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is praying.
12 In a vision he has seen a man named Ananias come and place his hands on him to restore his sight.”
13 “Lord,” Ananias answered, “I have heard many reports about this man and all the harm he has done to your holy people in Jerusalem.
14 And he has come here with authority from the chief priests to arrest all who call on your name.”
15 But the Lord said to Ananias, “Go! This man is my chosen instrument to proclaim my name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel.
16 I will show him how much he must suffer for my name.”
17 Then Ananias went to the house and entered it. Placing his hands on Saul, he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord—Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here—has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit.”
18 Immediately, something like scales fell from Saul’s eyes, and he could see again. He got up and was baptized,
19 and after taking some food, he regained his strength. Saul spent several days with the disciples in Damascus.
20 At once he began to preach in the synagogues that Jesus is the Son of God.
21 All those who heard him were astonished and asked, “Isn’t he the man who raised havoc in Jerusalem among those who call on this name? And hasn’t he come here to take them as prisoners to the chief priests?”
22 Yet Saul grew more and more powerful and baffled the Jews living in Damascus by proving that Jesus is the Messiah.
