A PLACE CALLED THERE

There is where we must be in order to receive God’s presence, protection, and provision.

Where is there? There is where God has you, or has directed you.

There is not usually a place of our choosing, its the place God has chosen for us.

I was intrigued by this message in 2000 when attending a Pastors conference in Phoenix Assembly. Linda and I had decided to go to their million dollar prayer chapel to pray. We were seeking direction for our lives and for our ministry.

We entered the chapel with full anticipation of hearing from God, and many others were there seeking to hear from God also. Many times those of us that are ‘caught in the in between-where its muddy in the middle, between you and there, you know it is a process’ We wait for that time-- seeking direction and making since of what is next. So, We began to pray and cry out to God then, all of a sudden, the Pastor in charge of the Prayer Chapel begins to give a mini message “A Place Called There”

We listen and took notes as he explained to us that God will always send those who are seeking to a place called there. He said, when God has an assignment he will send us to a place called there, so he can speak to us and give us just enough to trust Him in knowing He will be with us all the way and to encourage us in knowing He will never leave us nor forsake us.

So this morning I felt the leading of the Holy Sprit to share this message with you using some of the notes I took that night and using some my own notes to present to you a word that should help us all in knowing what God is saying to us and what God is wanting us to learn from these difficult and tough situation we have been caught in for almost a year now.

I since in my spirit this morning that many of us have been waiting on God to do something but in reality He is waiting on you and I to do something.

When you pray what are you praying for? How committed are you in seeking His Kingdom? Do you really trust God in all things? Have you asked God to help you break free from your way of thinking? What is it going to take for you to surrender all?

We all need to go to a place call there to get answers to those questions and many more than what I have written.

Many characters in the Bible found themselves in the place called there! Here are some examples:

For Elijah it was when he told Ahab there would be no rain until he said so. Then God sent Elijah

“And it shall be, that thou shall drink of the brook, and I have commanded the ravens to feed you there!” 1 Kings 17:4

For Jeremiah it was at the Potters house

Jeremiah 18:1 “The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying, Arise and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will cause thee to hear my words.”

For Naaman it was a puny muddy river called Jordan where there was the place God sent him

2 Kings 5:12 “Are not Abana and Pharpar, rivers of Damascus, better that all the waters of Israel? may I not wash in them, and be clean, so he turned away in a rage.” 2 Kings 5:14 “Then he went he down, and dipped himself seven times in Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God: and his flesh came again like unto the flesh of a little child, and he was clean of leprosy!”

For Moses it was a cleft in the rock.

Exe. 33:21-23 “And the the Lord said, Behold, there is a place by me,and thou shall stand upon a rock; And it shall come o pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a cleft of the rock, and will cover thee my hand while I pass by: and I will take away my hand, and thou shall see my back parts; but my face shall not be seen.”

for Josephs father and brothers in the land of Goshen

Gen. 45:10-11 “And thou shall dwell in the land of Goshen, and thou shall be near unto me, thou, and thy children, and thy children’s children,and thy flocks, and thy herds, and all that thou hast: And there will I nourish thee; for yet there are five years of famine; lest thou, and thy household, and all that thou hast, come to poverty.” There he protected them all.

Remember it is possible to be in a church yet be in a far country, and not have the nourishment of God.

Exe. 24:12 “And the Lord said unto Moses come up to me unto the mount, and be there, and I will give thee the tablets of stone. and a law, and the commandments which I have written. that thou mayest teach them. “

Be there bring your whole being to me: (Hes not all there ) not connecting with whats going on around him.

For Joseph there was a prison, was betrayed by his brothers, accused of sexual misconduct, forgotten.

Gen. 41:9-10

There is a place of:

Obedience -Ruth was working on a field to gather food for Naomi and her. there was where she met Boaz and now owned the field!

Preparation-It was a place called there that Elijah was prepared for Mt Carmel and showed the power of God

Humbling-it was there when God’s people prayed and turned from their evil ways and God healed their land

Closeness to God-Enoch was so close that he was translated to heaven, and Elisha taken up in a chariot of Fire.

Revelation-At Patmos John was in Exile where God revealed to him

Cleansing- Naaman the General went to the river Jordan for a cleansing from his leprosy.

Reviving-In Ezekiel dry bones were brought to life and became a mighty army

God is moving in a miraculous way in these last days. if you were to sit back and look at all that is taking place in this world you should have realized that there is a shift and a shaking all around us, and there is an undenied presence of God.

Were all watching before our very eyes what was told thousands of years ago and yet were in a stupor of unbelief of what were watching play out. If you read your Bible book by book, chapter by chapter, verse by verse you will see what was prophecied and written as in the Bible coming to pass.

God has a place called there for you and I, do you want His Presence, His Protection and His Provision. Then call forth to your God and allow Him to get you to your place called there to speak to you.

Many times we miss Mt Carmel experience, because we wont go to the there’s that God prepared for us
