Two Worldviews

Christian - final reality = personal creator God

Material - final reality = impersonal matter or energy shaped into its present form by impersonal chance

Inevitably produce completely different results.

“Christianity is not just a series of truths, but Truth. Truth about all of reality.”

There is no way to synthesize the two views.

Some definitions

Humanitarian - Being kind and helpful to people, i.e. treating others “humanely”.

Humanities - the study of literature, art, music, etc.

Humanism - placing man at the center of all and making him the measure of all.
