We hear preaching about the second advent of Jesus, but what is being said about Jesus' announcer, Elijah the prophet? The prophecy stands at the close of the Old Testament. Jesus Himself affirmed that Elijah's coming was yet future even after John the Baptist had died. Can we afford to overlook the prophecy of this one God is sending in mercy, "lest I [God Almighty] smite the earth with a curse"?
