The Meaning of Faith

Hebrews 11:1

1A.      F is for Foundational  (11:6)

Faith is essential to new life  (Ephesians 2:8-10)

Ephesians 2:8-10 (NKJV) 8For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

Faith is essential to Christian growth  (11:2)

2A.      A is for Awesome  (11:3-7)

Faith is what gives meaning to our lives and motivation to our service.

3A.      I is for Intentional  (11:8-10)

Faith steps out into uncharted territory for God.

4A.      T is for Trust  (11:17-19)

Faith trusts God when everything else says not to.

5A.      H is for Head, Heart, and Hands  (11:20-22)

We must know someone

We must love someone

We share someone.
