Philippians 2:14-18
No Complaining
There’s no place for complaining even in our thoughts.
We must obey and receive our circumstances without complaint.
All complaining is complaining against God.
We must do away with grumbling to show the brightness of God’s light.
Holding to the Word
We must put our attention where it should be.
When we consider the greatness of God’s Word, it only makes sense for us to focus there.
What has our attention is also what we draw others to.
If we put our attention in the wrong place, it’s putting clouds over the stars.
Joy
There is joy in what the world would consider unlikely ways.
Paul shows the reality of Psalm 16:11 - God’s presence is the key to joy.
There is joy in seeing the effects of this life.
