The Lord’s Prayer

Praying from God’s Throne room part 7
I would like to finish this series reminding us that
In the year of 2021, God is inviting us, his church to pray,
Prayer is how we develop intimacy with God, is how our joy is made complete, how we learn from our Heavenly Father, how we hear his voice, how our faith is built, revelation comes to us through prayer.
Our Heavenly Father is inviting you and me to enter into a new level of relationship with Him.
John the Apostle in the island of Patmos saw a portal leading to the throne room
Rev 4:1 After this I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven! And the first voice which I had heard, like the sound of a [war] trumpet speaking with me, said, "Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after these things."
Rev 4:2 At once I was in [special communication with] the Spirit; and behold, a throne stood in heaven, with One seated on the throne.
Jesus is the door
I believe your Heavenly wants to welcome you into His presence, in the Throne room.

The Lord’s Prayer

Let’s Pray
Just before Jesus entered the garden with His disciples, He prayed this prayer, I’m going to highlight
Seven Prayer Points
1. Glory. “Father, the hour has come, glorify your Son that the Son may glorify you.” John 17:1
2. Intercession. “I pray for them.” John 17:9
3. Protection. “Keep them from the evil one.” John 17:15
4. Sanctification. “Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth.” He also prayed for His future believers. John 17:17-20
5. Unity. “That they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us” John 17:20-21
6. Presence. “Father, I desire that they also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory that you have given me.” John 17:24
7. Love. “love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them.” John 17:20-26
Today let’s focus on
Unity, His Presence, Love

Unity

Joh 17:20 "I do not pray for these alone [it is not for their sake only that I make this request], but also for [all] those who [will ever] believe and trust in Me through their message,
Joh 17:21 that they all may be one; just as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be one in Us, so that the world may believe [without any doubt] that You sent Me.
Joh 17:22 I have given to them the glory and honor which You have given Me, that they may be one, just as We are one;
Joh 17:23 I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected and completed into one, so that the world may know [without any doubt] that You sent Me, and [that You] have loved them, just as You have loved Me.
Jesus prayer is for us to be one with Him, and the Trinity, Father son and Holy Spirit, His prayer included all of us and those who will come to know Christ as their Lord and savior.
As Dr. Tredway shared last Sunday we need to let go of anything that divide us, forgiving those who persecute us, letting go of our thoughts, beliefs, likes dislikes.
At the end of time, all of us will stand before God, and at that time, we will give an account of everything we have done and said, for those who have chosen to live and walk with Christ, agreeing with His message, thinking and ways, obeying His words, they will be welcome into His presence, for the ones who resist the will of God in their hearts and with their actions they will be sent into the place prepare for Satan and his fallen angels.
The Final Judgment
Mat 25:31 "But when the Son of Man comes in His glory and majesty and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. [Rev_20:4-6]
Mat 25:32 All the nations will be gathered before Him [for judgment]; and He will separate them from one another, as a shepherd separates his sheep from the goats; [Eze_34:17]
Mat 25:33 and He will put the sheep on His right [the place of honor], and the goats on His left [the place of rejection].
For us to be in unity with one another and God, we need to embrace Jesus beliefs, loving Him with all our hearts soul and mind.
To be able to pray from the Throne room of God we need to be in unity with God and one another.
The world, our nation is very divided on what they believe, God is calling us to join Him.

His Presence

Joh 17:24 Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given to Me [as Your gift to Me], may be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, because You loved Me before the foundation of the world.
Joh 17:25 "O just and righteous Father, although the world has not known You and has never acknowledged You [and the revelation of Your mercy], yet I have always known You; and these [believers] know [without any doubt] that You sent Me;
His prayer was for you and me to be in His presence always, we are invited and welcome to be with Him.
There is no barriers for us to come before Jesus and be in His presence, you can access Him anytime anywhere.
Paul wrote,
Eph 2:6 And He raised us up together with Him [when we believed], and seated us with Him in the heavenly places, [because we are] in Christ Jesus,
To remain in His presence, we need to cultivate a relationship, listening to His voice, seeking for understanding and revelation that comes from Heaven, obeying everything He says, asking Him to show you what He is doing in you and around you today, every day.
Ex One of the greatest struggles in our society is loneliness, people feeling that they are all alone, and I’m not talking about people without family or those without a husband or a wife.
From every walk of life including very wealthy people, struggles with loneliness, I remember how miserable I use to feel before I welcomed Jesus in my life, and I grew up with a big family, deep within our souls we long for the presence of God, we can not replace His presence with people or things, only God can satisfy the longing of our souls.
Everything we try to put in God’s place, will leave us unhappy and dissatisfy, very lonely.
The pain of a lonely heart leads into wrong relationships and many of the addictions we are so familiar with.
Jesus opened the door for us to always be with Him, for you to have a best friend, the lover of your soul,
when we have an intimate relationship with Jesus we don’t need anyone else, we can love people out of the abundance of our love for Christ.
At the end of the great commission Jesus said.
Mat 28:20 teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always [remaining with you perpetually--regardless of circumstance, and on every occasion], even to the end of the age."
He is always with you.

Love

Joh 17:26 and I have made Your name known to them, and will continue to make it known, so that the love with which You have loved Me may be in them [overwhelming their heart], and I [may be] in them."
Jesus wants for us to experience the love God has for Him, in our hearts, remember Jesus did everything right, obey God to the death, glorified Him, God was very pleased with Jesus.
Jesus prayer is that we enjoy the same love, He enjoyed from His Father.
There is nothing more powerful than the love of God, overwhelms us
Col 1:12 giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints (God's people) in the Light.
Col 1:13 For He has rescued us and has drawn us to Himself from the dominion of darkness, and has transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son,
Col 1:14 in whom we have redemption [because of His sacrifice, resulting in] the forgiveness of our sins [and the cancellation of sins' penalty].
He forgave us of our sins, brought us into His family and qualified as to share the inheritance of the saints. Salvation, strength, hope peace, the kingdom of God, eternal life and much more.
Jesus prayer is, that
The Love of God, that is unconditional, and unlimited will always be in our hearts.
We need to pray more than we ever prayed, we have a clear invitation to pray with Jesus from the Throne room of God
Unity, His Presence, and His love is how we get there.
All this is possible by
making Jesus the lord of our lives
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. Joh 3:16
To receive Him we need to accept Him as God’s son, repent from our sins and a life of selfishness, asking Him to be your Lord and savior, not that you deserve it, but is a gift from God.
If this is your desire today, please repeat this prayer after me?
Heavenly Father I’m sinner,
I’m sorry for my sins,
I’m willing to turn away from my sins.
I receive Christ as my savior,
I confess him as Lord
from this moment on I want to follow and serve him,
in the fellowship of his church,
In Jesus name. Amen!
1Cor 11
23 For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread,
24 and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, "This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me."
25 In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me."
26 For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes.
Partaking of the Supper Unworthily
27 So then, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord.
